Vehicle Details 1997 30th Anniversary Chevrolet Camaro SS Camaro - For many of us car enthusiasts this namesake captures pride & memories of our youth. For others just getting into the sports car scene this is an Incredible representation of one of America’s favorite sports cars. Time spent cruising, & sharing stories will always be a part of our favorite past time. This particular Camaro SS has its own unique story. D.J. Walters Chevrolet in Governeur, NY ordered this Camaro in the Fall of 1996. It left the plant on October 11, 1996. When it arrives at the dealer I understand the owner of the dealership decided to keep the car rather than sell it. I believe it was not publicly registered as it belonged to the dealership. From late 1996 until April 2004 it was kept in NY often being on display in the showroom of D.J. Walters Chevrolet being driven an average of just around 650 miles/year. In April of 2004 my father found this car for sale on & fell in love. He became the first registered owner at this time. I had an account & he asked me to make the purchase for him. I arranged delivery in a enclosed transport truck to my hometown in Alabama. You can see the picture of it being backed out of the truck in the photos. My father was thrilled when he saw the car in person. The contrast of the Hugger Orange stripes against the Arctic White paint along with the white leather wrapped seats & white 5 spoke SS wheels was striking. Every time I visited my parents I loved seeing the ‘97 SS sitting in the garage. In the Summer of 2019 I got a text from my father asking me if I would like to own this SS. In the meantime I had moved from AL to WA. We arranged the enclosed transport once again to get the car to my house in WA. It arrived here in 2019 with just under 13,000 miles. As you see it now has just 13,704 miles. At this time I became the 2nd registered owner. This Camaro cranks on the first try. The A/C works properly. The heater works properly. The radio, CD player, cruise control, power seat, power windows all work as they are designed to. There are no aftermarket modifications done to this car. No junk. It is factory original. I have included many photos, but can certainly provide any other specific photos of the car to anyone who is interested in this car. If you are serious about purchasing this car I would encourage you to come see it in person. I believe you will be very pleased with what you see. Please note the small imperfections pictured. They are minor, but I want to be as transparent as possible with this sale. I want both parties to be happy with this sale once it’s complete.
