Vehicle description

1997 Custom Stretch Cadillac Flower Car: This vehicle was custom-built with a 32" stretch panel between the front and rear doors. (This car is rare enough that if you google-search "1997 Cadillac stretched flower car", you will likely find images of it during its professional service days.) Both of the rear doors and the trunk were fixed closed during the conversion process. The stainless steel flower bed is approximately seven and one-half feet long, huge for 1997 flower car. The interior is immaculate. There are two custom added switches on the dashboard. One operates a pair of working Whelen Emergency strobes in the headlight fixtures. I believe the second controls another set of strobes in the taillights, but if this is the case, they are not currently working. There are flagstaff brackets on the front fenders, but no accompanying flagpoles/flags. This rare Cadillac Professional Funeral Car will be eligible for Historical registration and insurance in January of 2022.
I purchased this car in 2018 with the intention of taking it to car shows, using it in Halloween parades, and having some fun with it. Unfortunately, a culmination of circumstances prevented these plans from ever coming to fruition. The car sat in my driveway without so much as being started for over three years. Although the car was in sound running condition when I bought it, there are several mechanical issues that currently need to be addressed. Having sat for over three years without running, I was was able to jump-start it after about thirty minutes of battery charging. Although I am not mechanically inclined; I can see that there is a brake fluid leak that has allowed all of the brake fluid to seep out, the brake pedal sinks immediately to the floor, the parking brake cable is broken allowing the car to roll in gear, the tires should all be replaced as they"ve been sitting, and the battery doesn"t seem to hold a charge very long. As far as dashboard indicator lights: only the brake system lights and anti-lock brake light indicators are presently coming on. There may be additional mechanical issues, but these are the ones that jump-out at me.
This car is not available to be test driven due to safety issues, but I will start the engine and allow it to be inspected onsite prior to bid/purchase. If a non-local bidder is interested, I will provide it for inspection to a local mechanic service sent at the potential buyers expense. Ideally, I would like the car to be removed within thirty days of auction close. If you are an out-of-state or international bidder requiring longer than thirty days to take possession, please message me in advance of placing your bid. Other than this consideration, I am not presently interested in considering any offers outside of the parameters of this listing, so please don"t forward lessor offers. With this said, I check my messages daily and will do my best to answer any car-related questions or add additional photos. (The roof image is just to demonstrate that there are no issues with the landau top.) Good luck with your bidding and stay safe.
