The time has come for me to sell my baby. This is the only car I have owned twice in my life and she is truly one of a kind. This is a 1996 Saab 900 nicknamed "FrankenSaab."
This car was built by a gentleman in Connecticut whom was a master tech at a Saab dealer. It started out as an auto NG900 which was essentially left for parts and then fully built over a period of time. All original parts were purchased through the dealer and the car was slowly built over time. I originally purchased this car from a guy in PA back in 2012 and was so intrigued by not only the uniqueness of the car but also its story. I ended up tracking down the builder/original owner shortly after that and he drove down from Connecticut to meet me and see the car at the Saabs of Carlisle the following year. He asked if I ever sold it if he could buy(he ended up having to sell the car for financial reasons and always wanted to get it back). Long story short a couple years later when my wife and I were expecting our first child I contacted him, and he came down and bought the car from me. I mentioned the same scenario to him if he ever wants to sell it to please give me first right of refusal. In 2016 I ended up buying the car back from him and it has been sitting in my garage ever since (occasionally driven). It is now time for me to move on as I have several cars that constantly need my attention in additional to the limited space I have to keep vehicles inside. It was once a 1st place show winner at Carlisle (2011) and I did drive it to the event several times and last year as well. Here is the run down on the car (I am sure I am missing some stuff) But why did it get the name FrankenSaab?

NEW NGK plugs I am sure I am missing some stuff but that is the extent of the mods. The current tune on the is very mild and builds boost linearly as the original JZW tune went from no boost to full boost and has broken a few clutches and transmissions (the drivetrain on these cars cannot handle a sledgehammer of forced induction). The car is a blast to drive but in order to be optimized would need a road tune. Currently has a Viggen clutch kit in it that slips on occasion, but I do also have a 6 puck clutch net disc to include with the sale. 3rd brake light doesn"t work (I haven"t had a chance to look at), and it has a small parasitic draw that also needs addressed. I think the draw is related to the original automatic transmission module still being hooked up and the car now being a manual as it may be constantly looking for a signal (I traced it to that circuit but haven"t had a chance to unplug the module as the car stays plugged in to a battery tender. There is also some light rust on the underside of the body and in miscellaneous areas (Happy to supply pics, just couldn"t put all of them into eBay). If I have a spare moment between now and the time it is sold, I will readdress. Car has 168K on body.
