1996 mercedes-benz e320 runs great very reliable. Condition is Used. I also just put 3 tires on it 1 brand new on the back and one slightly used also on the back and another slightly used on the full size spare . Also in the pic with the cargo bag on the roof I was moving that particular day so the entire front passanger seat and back seat and trunk was full so it appears weighted down in the back and it was that day but normally does not look like that. There is also a small oil leak but may have sealed itself its up on the drivers side front of the engine at the top . . .I have never seen a drop on the ground or smelled oil or seen any smoke and if i cleaned that area up i could pinpoint it and check it if it still needs a gasget or something but i doubt it also could use new brake pads and new plugs not that i have noticed anything i just think its about time and the windshield wipers squirter thing has a leak somewhere still works but not well bcs if u use it once half the window solution drains out and there is also a small leak in the radiator overflow bottle so like once every 3 months the warning lite comes on to say you need t add coolant. Also there are no warning lights on at all though and they all work fine. Oh and the sunroof worked fine when i got it and i only went to open it like maybe 3 times to show someone and the last try it wouldnt work it sounds just like the motor for the rear window that needs to be replaced i bet its the exact same problem that one will prob be the most diffacult one for me to fix if someone wanted me to only bcs i have never done it and i dont see how in the world you open it up to fix it a friend of mine just had the same issue on his wifes BMW X5 I can ask him as well as videos thats the only repair it needs that intimidates me a little bit. The motor was rebuilt by a Mercedes full time mechanic that was the uncle of the guy i bought it from . .the mechanic worked at the Marin County CA Mercedes dealership and the guy I bought it from lived in the north part of San Francisco so the cosmetic damage on the corner of the hood and the 2 spots on the rear bumper were all from him he said thats what happens when you live in SF and when i bought it from him i had 3 main criteria 1 was reliable . .i didnt want to have any starting issues or overheating and 2 that it would pass smog and was registered and 3 was that the AC worked well it was registered but only for another month and he didnt have money to do a smog just like me and the reliablility part was what he sold me on he said it always always started and that he would trust it to jump in and drive accross the U.S. and he said the AC worked but he never needed it in SF bcs the Fog well the AC didnt work and out of 5 attempts for me to fix it myself instead of spending $ 200 I finally did it after watching who knows how many you tube videos and taking it into Wheel Works for a free inspection I dont know what i did differently but it works now and blows ice cold and heater works fine too of course it still needs a correct color arm rest and and inside door handle and could use a new clear coat and a plastic tail light cover and the headlights brought back to clear or replaced with something more modern and either the entire rear bumper replaced or just the center part it can be done like new and for cheap and the rear window passenger side needs a new motor or whatever its called also if someone wants all this done before they pick it up i would be happy to do it all for you for free if you can just pay the parts and i can either order cheap new online or for like the window motor and bumper and plastic tail light cover and armrest and radio knob and door handle i can usually get all that at the local pick and pull I would have done it but i ran out of money waiting over 2 yrs now for my soc sec disability hearing I have had to sell off every single thing i have owned this was my very last item i didnt want to let go of I absolutly love this car from the 1st day I drove it even better than all 3 of my BMWs including my 6spd 2011 . .I would take this car over that car in a heartbeat its so smooth and fast and quiet I am 100% sold I never want to own anything else after driving this car and I have worked in the car business over 20 yrs and personally owned over 30 cars my Moms Mercedes in Netherlands is garbage next to this car as soon as all this court stuff is over i will deffinatly find another Mercedes with a high performance 6 cyl or another 1996 or 1997 in a black or grey and restore it to perfect and have it as a second car . .those are the only 2 yrs they used this motor . . it"s the only car that I have ever worried about getting a speeding ticket in. I absolutly love driving this car its a pleasure to drive also im sure it will pass smog fine and im prepared to refund your money immediatly if it didnt . .i would do it myself but i literally dont have a dollar left to my name and nothing left to sell other than the car also the DMV fees are a little bit high now there are 2 fines for it being over 6 months past due i think all together it was $90 in fees in addition to the regular registration unless you plan on registering it outside of California I checked to Register it in NV was aprox $150 and in CA aprox $ 360 both need a smog but NV was an OBDll reading was all and CA wants the engine to look like new and everything perfect on the car before they will even take its readings its a little ridicoulous in my opinion but still im sure it will pass. also if someone wants it U-shipped to them I don"t mind arranging a convient pickup with a driver for you. and most times cars dont come with a return policy but I do if you got it and were not happy for any reason as long as we make the decision the same day as you took possession I will do a return i do not believe in no returns even on a car a person either stands behind what they are selling or they dont money is not more important as an honest deal in my opinion.
