Up for auction is a beautiful 1996 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer 4x4 finished in Royal Blue Metallic over Light Saddle Metallic. This Bronco has a brand new 5.8 351 long block prepared by S&J Engines of Spokane, WA. The engine has approximately 1,000 miles since installation. This Bronco is very original without any major aftermarket modifications and is completely rust free. This Bronco spent the majority of its life between Central Oregon and Southeast Washington.
The interior of this Bronco is very nice. The front captain"s chairs have just been recovered with a full set of Eddie Bauer leather seats covers. The original rear bench has a few depressions in the leather from being folded for an extended period of time as shown in the photos below. The dash is free of any cracks or fading and all of the gauges are working. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is showing some typical wear at the top of the wheel, but the material is not torn through. The carpets are in great shape without any cigarette burns, tears or major stains. The rear carpeted runner remains in the passenger area. This Bronco is loaded up with A/C, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, cruise control, power lumbar support and tilt wheel. All of the power options are working including the tailgate window, which operates from the dash switch and the rear key lock switch. The overhead console display is not currently working and may need a new LED display. An aftermarket bluetooth radio has been installed, however no modifications have been made to the dash to accommodate it. The removable top trim pieces are missing.
The exterior of this Bronco looks excellent. The body is very straight without any panel misalignments. This Bronco has zero accident history per the CarFax report. The Royal Blue Metallic paint looks beautiful and does not have any cracking, peeling or fading areas. The hood, cowl and fender tops appear to have been repainted at some time, however the color match is excellent. The Bronco does have several minor blemishes typical of the age and mileage, but no major blemishes otherwise. The door bottoms, rockers, fender bottoms, rear quarters and tailgate are entirely rust free and solid without any major paint chipping or bubbling. There is one small dent on the driver"s side B-Pillar as shown and several dime sized dings in the roof, however they were very hard to catch on camera. The Bronco has a very nice custom front spoiler with integrated PIAA fog lights as shown. The undercarriage of this Bronco is very dry and rust free with only minor surface rust on the frame and suspension components.
This Bronco runs and drives as well as it looks. The engine is very smooth with plenty of power and torque. The transmission was completely resealed and serviced when the new engine was installed and shifts very smoothly. Receipts are available for the long block and transmission work. The original intake plenum, valve covers and front accessories were the only items that were reused when the engine was installed. A new water pump, new distributor and new exhaust manifolds were installed with the new engine. The Bronco also has a newer set of shocks, new polyurethane radius arm bushings and a set of BFGoodrich All-Terrains with excellent tread.
