| “ Very Good Condition. Some typical GM paint peeling in the L quarter panel to rear door jamb area and trunk trough. Also 2 areas of leather repair with one small spot on the passenger front seat bottom and one other spot at the rear center seat bottom. All told a very nice car, runs great and is in well above average condition. ” |

Vehicle description
1996 Chevrolet Impala SS 65k original miles Original 260hp LT1 5.7ltr V8 paired with the original 4L60-e 4spd Automatic and upgraded suspension components Fantastic condition with only minor wear and tear to show it"s an over 20 year old car.
A very nice example of the end of an era, the last true body on frame GM muscle sedans, the 1996 Impala SS was the last hurrah and has become a bit of a collector"s items because of that. This one in the sought after "Dark Green-Gray Metallic" paint over gray leather interiors it looks and rides excellently. The engine is strong and outside of a minor exhaust leak from the driver"s side exhaust manifold, is quiet and smooth while keeping that nice V8 rumble when you want to put your foot into it. Transmission shifts smooth and on time just as it should. Nice tires show lots of life and tread mounted on the very nice factory Impala SS only alloys. The suspension was recently rebuilt front and rear with Caprice HD springs front and rear, Biltstien shocks and struts and Hotchkis sport sway bars added front and rear. This set up helps to make this big strong sedan ride nice and smooth and help this otherwise bone stock vehicle handle corners better than the day it left the factory. A comfortable ride is coupled with a comfortable interior with nice clean leather seats and ice cold A/C which was just freshly serviced and recharged. Two small spots on the leather have been repaired but still present very well. The interior is a very nice and roomy place to spend time with this vehicle. This Impala was originally sold in Canada and shortly after purchased moved with the original owner to Washington state. In around 2013 the second owner purchased it and it is currently being sold as a charitable donation with proceeds of the sale going to USS Hornet Heritage Fund. With that the vehicle is offered for sale here in Martinez, CA with a clean Washington state title and CarFax report to show it"s history.
