Vehicle description

It"s time for me to downsize my collection so I"m selling my beautiful 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon "Collector Series" with 51,456 original miles . This car was purchased new, by a friend of mine, drove it sparingly. He sold it to me in 2007. Because of this car"s excellent condition, I only showed it in car shows in Colorado, Arizona, and California. This car has been meticulously maintained and cared since 1996. It has every option with exception of the CD radio and heated seats. I replaced the tires in 2009 including the full-sized spare. For those of you new to this type of GM car, this car has the LT-1 Corvette engine that was de-tuned to produce 256 horsepower. I"ve averaged 25 MPG on my highway trips to car shows with city mileage being like any other car, roughly 16 mpg. Everything is original except one add-on trim piece that the original owner installed-you"ll note the portholes on the front fenders. The original owner put NOS 1961 Buick Electra portholes on the front fenders (this was long before the cheap reproductions found on everything these days) when he bought the car. He had a GM parts supply company at the time and has provided me some trim parts he bought back in "96. This car runs and drives wonderfully. I hate to have to sell it bought I"ve been reducing my collection for the past year and after holding out for a while, decided it was best to let this one go too. I have original paperwork with the car and owner"s manual plus, the original dealer plastic is still in the rear facing backseat foot-well. This is a fine example of the last examples of the V-8 powered, rear-drive, luxury, American station wagons before the 2005 Dodge Magnum.
