In the late 80s Toyota wanted to compete with luxury brand competitors by building a car that would rival the likes of the ultra luxurious S class and 7 series at a fraction of the price. In order to do so, Toyota spent 1 billion dollars (in the 80s) developing the Lexus LS400 and Toyota Celsior platform helping them launch the Lexus brand in the US and introduce the Toyota Celsior to its Japanese clientele.
With different levels and packages available, the Celsior F package was the absolute highest package available at the time making it the Japanese executive"s ultimate vehicle of choice.
This particular example is an F package that has just over 10,000 documented kilometers making it the lowest mile example available and meaning the car is in impeccable condition. Its green metallic paint shines like it was new with the help of a full paint correction and ceramic coating and the inside shows no signs of any wear. The car has some very minor markings on the exterior where stones may have hit the ca, but overall, this car is a complete time capsule of the heaviest optioned Celsior money could buy back in 1995.
Equipped with a touch screen head unit that is fully functional controlling GPS, TV signal, radio, tape deck and air conditioning, this car was something out of the future. With all controls in the front fully functioning, the chauffeur was able to move the front passenger seat forward and lower its headrest in order to provide more legroom for its back bench passengers. They would also be able to control the rear climate control, rear entertainment and more.
In the back bench, the wool seats show no signs of wear and within the arm rest lies all controls for the front passenger seat, entertainment, air conditioning and even massaging settings, rear bench reclining and rear seat warmers as well.
This car came optioned with the factory installed TV in the back seat, and the only option it does not have installed is the fax machine that could have been ordered from Toyota"s catalogue.
In the back, the original spare tire is still in place, original tool kit is fully equipped, and even the original batteries meant to replace the remotes for entertainment are still in the ORIGINAL plastic wrapping. The owner"s manuals, booklets, spare remotes are all still in excellent condition with bubble wrapping still on the remotes and original ziploc bags for the security keys.
