Vehicle description

This Sidekick is a one family owned vehicle purchased new by my mother in law, now 87. Yes, this car was driven by a little old lady in Raleigh, NC. A few years ago, she had to stop driving, and gave the car to her daughter, my wife"s sister. When she was driving it to Michigan last summer, the transmission bit the dust. Seeing the opportunity for my 16 y.o son and I to fix up the car and save it from the crusher, I bought it and had it shipped out. I located a grade "A" salvage transmission, bought it and had my local mechanic do the install. It runs great! We then went through the whole vehicle fixing and replacing things, cleaning and detailing. Also put new tires on it. It was a fun project, but we have other vehicles and decided to let this one go to someone who might need it more than we do.
We installed many new parts including spark plugs & ignition wires, distributor cap & rotor, Temp sender, O2 sensor, fuel filter, wiper blades, charged the a/c system. There is a small oil leak after running Lucas stop leak, but there is no longer the puff of blue smoke when starting it after sitting for a week. Overall, the Sidekick runs great, tracks straight, and everything works aside from some burned out dash bulbs. There is no rust, and little mud underneath as it is unlikely that Grandma ever used it in 4x4. The engine makes some valve noise initially, but gets quiet after a mile or so. It is very original and clean. I would give the carpet and upholstery a 9+. The paint is a repaint from 2011, and it is definitely showing signs of age. There are some dings and scratches, plus a small dent on the roof where a tree branch fell from a wind storm. I think Grandma had a monor fender bender in a grocery store parking lot, and it was an easy fix. This is a pretty lightweight SUV, and I think it would be a good tow along car for a motorhome.
Please contact me with questions. I prefer that you come here to get the vehicle, and i"m not going to be responsible for shipping it. I"ll update this listing as I think of more information. Thanks!
