“Super cool Nobbie's SS aka "Fed Sled" with MANY mods & custom features, but has light right rear damage I was going to fix and bring it back to its glory. THE FIRST 6 PICS ARE FROM NOBBIE'S SS IN HER GLORY DAYS!! I kept her in one garage for 7 years, then moved and kept in that garage for 7 years ... while my daily driver sat outside! Then I moved it outside ... and a packrat moved in under the hood before I could get it going. It has sat for several years outside and cleaning out underhood makes me realize that I'm not going to do this car justice. Time for someone else to bring her back! California restored salvage title (after the right rear damage) so it has already been inspected and should be able to quickly title in your state. California buyer may need a form because it has been off the road for so long and wasn't retitled here in Arizona.”

Vehicle description

Nobbie"s SS was famous on the Impala SS forum back in the day. MANY MODS! Please read the condition description above about why I"m selling it. THE FIRST 6 PICS ARE FROM NOBBIE"S SS IN HER GLORY DAYS! Other pics are current. Rear smoothie bumper cracked but its fiberglass so should be easy repair. Frame kinked about 1/4" over the right rear wheel - my plan had been to send her to frame pull and it should (mostly) straighten the right quarter as well. I never drove her much, just back to Phoenix from SoCal and around town a few times. She"ll definitely need a fuel pump and may need some wires repaired under the hood but mostly just a thorough cleaning to get rid of the cholla cactus.
This was my very favorite color combination: black with tan interior and I had many 9C1s over the years but always kept this one back and never sold her despite many requests. I hope that you will do what I always wanted. Tires are black and round and will roll onto a trailer but should be replaced before driving. I will entertain buy it now offers and, depending upon price, may be able to include the matching rear set of Impala SS factory rims and Pirelli tires described below - but please call 48O.496.7ll7 FIRST if you are interested in those wheels!
Includes older laptop with factory PCM tune and another tune besides what"s on the car now. Other parts in trunk including NOS TV/VCR center console.
MANY AWESOME MODS! ! See below from archived Wayback Machine (http:/ www.nobbie.com/9c1ss.html)
This is a 1995 Chevrolet Caprice with the Heavy Duty Police Package (GM CODE: 9C1). Located in Los Angeles, California, this particular vehicle is a retired California Highway Patrol car that served in the El Centro Division (Southeastern California, where it’s all desert and all highway). It has been converted to an all-black 9C1SS. Devoid of chrome, badging and any markings, it features a heavy-duty version of the Corvette LT1 powerplant. The CHP retires their vehicles around 100K miles. They then go through and rebuild or replace whatever needs it throughout the car. They remove law enforcement articles (siren, light bar, spotlight, divider, etc.) They then fill all holes, paint the car a solid color and put it up for auction. I purchased this car four years ago directly from the CHP via sealed bid auction. When I got it, it had 105,000 miles on it. Since I only work 6 miles from home, and we have a minivan for the weekends, I only put another 11,000 miles on the car in four years. It has been serviced regularly and it runs great. I have recently bought a new toy and need to find a good home for this. A word about Impala SS’s and clones . Please don’t call this an SS Clone. First of all, the Impala is a dressed up 9C1. Seems the Caprice with the 9C1 Police Package had the makings of a great hot rod cruiser. So, GM did the smart thing and dressed up a 9C1 with cool graphics and leather interior. What they took away were the important things. Like redundant cooling apparatus and lifetime green silicone hoses. (9C1’s were designed to idle for hours then hit 100mph at a moment’s notice.) My goal was to take what made the Impala SS great and make it better. To start with an Impala SS didn’t make sense. For I would have to do what the SS owners were doing already. Adding things the 9C1 already had! Like those green silicone hoses. Wiper blade wings. Heavy duty brakes. Stuff like that. In the end, it probably cost me as much as buying an Impala SS. But I had lots of fun doing it. And I ended up with the perfect stealth “Fed Sled,” as a fellow 9C1 owner I know calls it. And it’s the way it should be. Here"s a list of mods I have performed on it: EXTERIOR: OEM Impala SS Grill. Hood ornament hole filled. Custom smoothie fiberglass front and rear bumpers. (These were extremely expensive to buy and install. But they are well worth the money and effort, for they really clean up the lines of the car. Just look at your average Caprice or Impala, then look at mine, and you’ll know what I’m talking about.) Complete molding and badging delete. Windows Tinted. Trunk lock relocated under trunk lip and trunk lock hole filled. (This was a very expensive mod to do. But it really cleans up the backend a lot. Take a look and I think you’ll agree.) OEM Impala SS rear spoiler. Taillight molding painted black. Black door handles and key lock plates. OEM Impala SS fender trim. Low noise black antenna. 9C1 airfoil wipers. Entire car painted, color-sanded and painted again. INTAKE: "First Base," "Home Plate" air resonators and air filter housing deletes. Replaced with Mark "War Pig" Michna Cold Air Box and custom one-off elbow to throttle body extension, Pep Boys 3.5" chrome exhaust pipe, K&N cone air and crankcase breather filters and Grant Classic Horn Button plugging the "Home Plate" elbow hole. Throttle Body Coolant By-Pass. New Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve. EXHAUST: Flowmaster Two-Chamber Mufflers welded in. High-Flow Camaro Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve. IGNITION: Ed Wright "Fast Chip" PCM Programming. Bosch Platinum+4 Spark Plugs. Magnecor Spark Plug Wires DRIVELINE: SLP 2400rpm Torque Convertor. MMC Balanced Aluminum Driveshaft (Stock Length). Race-Prepped Impala Rear End with welded and epoxied axle housings. 3.73 Gears. Auburn Pro-Posi Unit. SUSPENSION: Eibach Caprice Lowering Springs. Edelbrock IAS Performer Impala Shocks. Second-Generation F-body Front Sway Bar. Herb Adams Rear Sway Bar. Adjustable J&M Upper and Lower Rear Control Arms. (Adjusted to 3/4" longer than stock.) Pink & Green Body Bushings. Moog "Problem Solver" Idler Arm. WHEELS & TIRES: Stock Impala SS Rims Powdercoated Black with new Pirelli Scorpion Zero Tires. (Stock size up front: 255x50R17. And way massive meats of 275x55R17 in the back!)
