Here"s something you don"t see very often. a C1500 diesel. The body is very straight and rust free, but if you want to make it nice, it will need paint. Interior is okay, with the exception of the drivers seat, which is coming apart. If the drivers seat bottom really bothers you, new leather seat upholstery is for sale on Ebay. Truck has power windows, seats and locks, and of course tilt, cruise etc. I have replaced the A/C compressor, drier, etc, so it blows very cold. I have also replaced both batteries, along with fluids and filters.
The engine runs strong, and starts up easily. The truck has plenty of power if you want to tow, or haul. Whoever owned this before, didn"t work it very hard, as the inside of the lined bed is straight, and the truck still feels very tight. It"s my opinion that this was perhaps owned by an older person who just used it for errands, or perhaps light hauling. Had they kept it inside, it"d probably be a lot better looking cosmetically. That being said, it"s a very honest truck if you are looking for one to build/restore.
I purchased this truck as a donation vehicle about a year and a half ago, and have only recently had the time to go through it and fix the issues that it had. The A/C compressor was locked up, and it had a very bad fuel leak from an improperly installed filter. The drivers seat motor was not functional, so I replaced the seat chassis. This seems to be a very common problem with this generation of GM trucks.
Tax title and license will apply to Texas buyers, and the vehicle will have a fresh Texas inspection should it stay within the state. If it goes out of state, then you are responsible for whatever fees your particular state requires.
