Vehicle description
For sale is a 1995 BMW M3 with AA c30 Rotrex supercharger VIN WBSBF932XSEH04703 160,300 miles reading on gauge 192k on chassis NO TRADES, NOT PARTING THE SUPER CHARGER OUT, 5th owner. 1 accident reported on car fax back in 1998 with what looks like 45k miles on it. Rear end accident. Clear title. Car fax available on request ( ebay uses another reporting service and shows 8 owners,, my assumption would be private dealers or auctions are popping up for those extra three owners, ) Currently have about 5k miles on this set up and was one of my daily drivers this summer. Selling because I am building a new home this fall and simply do not have the time to devote to this vehicle. Passed NY State Inspection a few months ago and has a current inspection sticker on it. Vader seats with no rips spare tire and complete spare tire tool kit in car ( pictures available ) cruise control and sunroof work, both drivers and passenger windows work with out a hitch One Key Everything listed has been done within the last 5k miles, I will try to be as specific as I can Set up has much more potential if you would like to push it further, TRM tune estimates 285 Hsp with about 260 torque. With cut ring head gasket, bigger injectors, and smaller pulley size, Don’t see why the set up couldn’t reach 350 hsp
Motor and Supercharger
M52 2.8 L motor from a 1997 328i which was an auto, Motor has about 150K on it and I am listing the leak down test and compression test below.
Compression
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6
194 195 200 193 206 205
5% 3%. 3%. 6%. 3%. 2% is Leak down Pictures of leak down and compression available as well Supercharger is a rotrex c30 Active Auto unit. Estimated to have about 20k miles on it at this point as when I bought it used from the seller, he had put 15k on it at that point and had upgraded to a turbo set upon his car.
All other idler pulleys, tensioners and belt have 5k on them as I replaced all of the moving parts on the supercharger bracket when I installed the unit.
TRM tune for 30 pound injectors, M50 Manifold, light weight flywheel, and 540 Mass Air Flow, stock m52 cams. Tune is for Blow off valve to be recirculated and it is.
Running a Catch Can for the extra crank case pressure added by the super charger
Stage 1 supercharger pulley, 6psi on a 3.2 motor so its closer to 7 psi on the smaller displacement 2.8 motor.
I decided to Super charge this motor rather than the stock3.0 s50 motor for the potential gains with more boost, this motor has lower compression ratio and more room in between the cylinder walls so the head gasket can take more boost. M52 and M50 motors like boost from Turbos and superchargers. Other then gaskets done listed below the motor has never been opened to my knowledge. Did see stock m52 cams when doing the valve cover gasket
Maintenance wise, seals changed are
Rear main seal and housing seal
Valve cover gasket and grommets as well
Oil filter housing gasket changed
Intake manifold gaskets
New water pump and thermostat
New motor mounts
Mobil one 10w40 full synthetic
Fuel filter
Power steering flush
Coolant flush
New NGK single prong plugs gapped to correct amount for 6-7psi
New crank sensor
Stealth under shield installed
New washer res pump installed
New fender liners installed
New coolant level sensor
Drive Train
Light weight fly wheel 14 pounds I think
Stage one organic sprung hub clutch disc,, this is a full face disc and very street-able,, not a pucked disc that will give horrible chatter on engagement.
Sachs HP pressure plate and has about 15% hard push on the clutch pedal then stock. Clutch set up is rated for 375 hsp
When the clutch was replaced 5k ago, new sachs throw out bearing, new clutch fork, new clutch pivot, as well as a new shift selector seal was installed. 5th gear lean was cured as well at this time with a rebuild on fifth gear detent bushing kit. Rebuilt all shifter bushings and components as well. Shifts are precise and clean. Friction point on clutch is nice and high where it should be because the fork Is new, no classic low friction point due to worn clutch fork
Transmission flush performed
New slave cylinder 2k miles ago
Differential has fluid change 5k ago
New axle seals recently as well
New poly front diff bushing for the added horsepower so the diff doesn’t move in that sub frame
Suspension
H+R adjustable coil over suspension, no leaks from shocks and firm ride, think the spring rate is 500 front and 650 rear, possibly lower than that, couldn’t find the ratings on line
UUC rear adjustable camber arms
Poly diff front bushing
Alignment 2k miles ago
Z3 rack and pinion quick ratio
Tires and Brakes
Less than 3k miles on new Yokohama Advan 235/40r18 summer tires. 7-8/32nds remaining and evenly worn. 18X8.5 aftermarket rims seen in pictures, not sure on the brand. no spacers needed for fitment, hub rings are installed on all 4 to make sure they are centered on rotor hub. No highway speed vibration and soft compound summer tire so they handle great.
Front brake pads are new and rear are 60% or so with fresh brake flush and standard solid face rotors, No vibration when applying brakes, all true and left front caliper rebuilt less than 3k miles ago.
Exhaust
New exhaust nuts and gaskets from headers to mid pipes
Stock headers, Mid pipes have high flow cats
New oxygen sensor
Aftermarket cat back exhaust not to loud but more tone then stock
Items that still need addressing:
Abs light is on
Radio and sound system needs a new oem amp, system is stock besides head unit and runs out of the stock wiring of the car, was working and eventually the amp failed.
Headlight fault comes on to display when head lights are turned on, bulbs are fine, read it might be a calibration issue from previous hid s being installed at some point in the car’s past
AC system is not functioning as of now, received the car years ago without a belt on the compressor and by looking at the system, will need a new condenser and possibly a new line running from the evaporator to the fire wall or possibly just a new sensor that plugs into it, the compressor is free and moving, I put a belt on it to check it and no bearing noise and is not seized. Was on the to do list along with the radio and in Up-State New York, don’t need ac a lot so didn’t get to it
Hood has a small dent where the supercharger intake come up and around on its 180 degree turn from the compressor, as well as a small spot of rust starting on the front of the hood
Only other spot of rust is the right rear quarter panel. Including under body shots as well to show the car is in great shape body wise other then those two spots. Pictures included
Exhaust is missing the middle rubber hangers and metal tabs to hang them on, again on the to do list but exhaust is sitting correctly and snug. Just helper hangers Oil pan seeps Very slowly
Power locks work on front doors not trunk, rod popped off door latch on drivers side and haven’t had time to take the door placard off and see what"s going on but the key fits all three lock tumblers. Can simply push lock button down and it will lock the door. can manually lock trunk .
All the above are fix-able and with unlimited time and fewer commitments they would have been done, Just need to focus on the Building of my home at the current time frame. Thank you for your interest and let me know if I can answer any questions, I didn’t list information to above. only 18 pictures allowed on this listing, I have countless more and can send via email.
