Vehicle description
Carving out new adventures or making heading back to the office the most amazing experience possible. It"s beautiful.
It"s spirited.
I get asked about it (positively) every time I take it out.
Adult Owned and Maintained car. I am formerly with BMW (~8 years) and a big enthusiast. * * This is my third car with the M50/S50 engine and the rest of this setup ("93 325is and "95 M3 being the others); no stranger to these cars, how to properly care for them, and "what to look out for" with them.* *
Comfortably holds 7 overflowing paper grocery bags in the trunk with current subwoofer box. Ready for all seasons, catch the fall foliage with the top down, weather winter with its hardtop, take in the fresh air of spring, and get some sun in the summer while rocking the ice cold AC Why would I sell it? No need to. No rush to. I’m not necessarily car monogamous, and have a wandering eye. Also, the kids don"t enjoy the wind, as the car seats put them into the blast zone!
To the other e36 enthusiasts - - NO DEAD PIXELS!
In the past two years it got a little over $10,000 (parts cost) with these upgrades and updates Hardtop (vinyl to match, original paint is gray) ($1500) Hardtop installation and mounting kit ($350) Hardtop garage kit for hanging from ceiling and one person on/off ($200) Bilstein Sport Suspension for M3 ($800) yellow / lifetime warranty {I"m told?} (fresh mounts and bushings at time of installation) & used e36 M3 Springs ($150) Upgraded wheels and tires - 17” from E46 ($750); tires have 3,000 miles on them Turner Motorsports Upgrade chip on ECU w/ additional spare-stock ECU ($250) Sound system - ($4,300) Hertz ML Power 4 (4x120) ($700) Hertz ML Power 4 (4x120) ($700) Hertz MPK 165.3 ($700) Hertz CX100 ($200) Wiring & adapters ($350) Custom Box ($300) Hertz H8 DSP ($550) Hertz MP 300 Subwoofer ($550) Sony dsx-gs80 ($250) Later model power sport seats ($250) New battery (10/2021) ($200) Hard Motorsport replica door panels ($300) Turtle laboratories steel door panels ($250) Valve cover gasket, plugs, tuneup ($1000) Minor updating of roof gaskets All original panels - driver front fender wrinkled New window regulators ($400) (in hand, drivers installed, passenger needs to be installed) Smoked lenses ($250) and original lenses Burled wood shift knob New center console leather with m stripes, not installed Manual top conversion (more reliable; most power top parts included) No underpanel rust
This car is 25 years old. Keep that in mind when buying it. While extremely inexpensive to own, cheap to insure, tons of aftermarket parts available, and "the big stuff" already take care of, it"s 25 years old.
~2023 projects that I’d do if I kept it: Engine Belts and Rear Pads Paint correction, detailing, & touch up scheduled for November 8th-10th - if BUY IT NOW is chosen I will pay for the appointment (otherwise I will cancel) Replace seals and gasket around top Coat/line or replace canvas top - at least six seasons left in the top Replace driver front fender Alternator cooling duct / other plastic oddities ABS delete /or/ valve replacement - light is on, stuck valve
