Vehicle description

You are looking at my finest possession, my 1994 Camaro Z28. This is a true two owner car as I purchased it in July of 1998 when it was 4 years old and had 59,000 miles on it. Seems the original owner drove it till the Goodyear GSC"s were worn out then traded it in! I drove it every day for 6 or 7 years then relegated it to "fun car" class and have kept and enjoyed it all this time. My ritual was to drive it on Friday thru Sundays during the Spring thru Fall and I have pretty much maintained that all these years. But now my wife and I are are not too far from retirement so we are starting to make those plans and I"m selling the car to get ready.
I could probably write more here than even would allow, but I"ll try to be brief. I know every nut and bolt on this car as I have fussed over it for the whole time I had it. It has some nice mods that I did mostly early on with the car: Hurst Billit Plus Shifter. Pictured is the white 6 speed ball but I will also include the Hurst black 6 speed ball. Borla 3" stainless steel exhaust with adjustable sound. Deflects more or less exhaust thru the muffler Mandrell bent stainless steel "Y" pipe. The best "seat of your pants" mod for performance. Random Tech high flow catalytic converter, perfectly legal exhaust. Crane Roller Rocker Arms Moroso Cold Air Intake Throttle Body Air Foil
1996 Camaro SS "ZR1" style 17" wheels. Currently clad with Continental Extreme WD Summer Tires The pictures are a very accurate reflection of the car. The car is indeed in great shape and runs like a top. I have NEVER had to go into the internal engine or transmission for a repair, only external things like the opti spark distributor and AC compressor have been changed other than normal wear items. The oil was changed with Mobil 1 synthetic every 3000 miles. Overkill you say? Well at 187,000 miles, this awesome LT1 engine still does not use a drop of oil between changes. In fact, it is smoother and quieter than the HEMI in my 2012 Chrysler 300C. Last Summer (2019) I replaced the opti-spark distributor with a high quality rebuilt one with an original Mitsubishi optical sensor which is the key to their performance. You can no longer get a GM unit, but this one has an MSD Vented cover which is a big upgrade for a 1994 unit. Now, I can"t say that this engine will run forever, but it sure feels like it can!
The interior is also great with no modifications except I added the BOSE rear speakers early on as well, so it still has the factory Delco/BOSE Radio / CD Player which works great with rear factory sub-woofer. The dash, seats, carpet and floor mats are all real nice as they should be. The T-tops are all original and work perfect and do not leak a drop, even in a car wash! Previous generation F bodies had this issue but the General fixed that on the 4th gen cars. Everything in this car works like it should including the heater, Ice Cold AC, power windows, all the gages and factory Cruise Control! Also note that this car has the factory "Z" option which includes a 150 MPH Speedometer and is not computer speed limited. In track testing back in the day, the top speed for this car was listed at 156 MPH!
The body is great and I have had absolutely no paint work done on it in 22.5 years now. The car has always been garaged which helps for sure. The paint is not show quality as it has been driven, but at this point in time it is really good. There is absolutely NO RUST anywhere on this body, door bottoms and rocker panels included!
There are a couple things that I should mention; the fabric on the T-Top headliner and sun visors is a little loose and could use a touch up. Its getting close to time for front brake pads and rotors as there is a little vibration now with hard braking. The brakes and possibly new shocks all around were going to be my Spring 2021 project. The clutch is still good with no slipping. He does mark his territory as we say, with some small drips of oil and transmission fluid. This car was just inspected in RI in July and all is fine.
Included in the auction is the original owners manual which has the business card of the dealer salesman, the 2 volume factory service manual, ALL service records from the last 22.5 years, my logbook from the same time span that shows date, miles and service performed for everything right down to a new transmission mount in October of 2020! Also included is the original 1994 Camaro Sales brochure.
I"m sure I"ve missed some things so please send me your questions and I will answer them. This is the one you want, Black, 6 Speed, T-Tops, 2 owners in 26 years. Plus owned by and fussed over for the last 22.5 years by a real car nut! This has been a great car and our family will miss it for sure. Yes, I did fuss over this car and I hope the new owner does as well.
