Vehicle description
Stunning California owned Saab 9000 Aero in its rarest color, Cirrus White. This is a leak free, manual 5-speed Aero. All stock. Turbo pulls hard. A/C blows cold. Transmission not abused. Meticulous service records in hand. BONUS, complete wood grain dash in almost great condition (included if you want it, I bought it for the car but never replaced).
This Saab was gently driven by the original owner up until a couple years ago when it was sold to a 9k collector. We became friends and he offered to sell it to me earlier this year. My Saab addiction spiraled out of control and I have three 9k Aeros now. Why I’m choosing to sell THIS one: my first 9k is sentimental so it stays and the newest addition is a very low mileage 9k (very lucky). Wish I could keep all 3 but my life is dictating otherwise, so here we are.
It has had all scheduled oil changes and major mile interval services documented. Major things done to the car to note: Head gasket changed at 80k, heater core at 80k, Di cassette at 164k, muffler at 161k, super/tensioner pulleys at 162k, radiator at 152k, fuel pump at 142k.
I recently changed the oil, flushed the coolant and replaced the thermostat. I have replaced several vac lines with silicone. I have the original orange indicator lights I will include.
Quirks/things that need/could be fixed: The car resided near the coast of California. The sea breeze did bring a few areas of surface rust to life (shown in photos). No major rust whatsoever (see photo of underneath car). The radio initially worked but now isn’t, probably an electrical gremlin. Cruise control inop. Seat heaters inop. No key FOB (but I have two sets of keys). Sun roof seal leaks if hit with pressure washer. SRS light on (mechanic told me this could be the front left impact sensor). Turbo gauge needs new vacuum line ran to it (I currently have the nipple sealed off in the engine bay where it splits to go through firewall to back of gauge). Front outer axle boots are going, I see grease coming out. Underneath the dash there’s a squeak from the fans for the A/C that give a holler when the air is blowing at medium speeds. At high or very low speeds it doesn’t squeak. I don’t know what this is but my other 9k’s do this a bit too. Besides that this car is ready for road trips and car shows!
