you are looking at a 1994 JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA with only 138k miles on it. this little barn find had been sitting for a better part of a decade. we acquired this hard to find jeep at a donation sale that was sold as its running condition unknown. between knowing how hard to it to find one of these with the frame intact, NOT rotted out and how dependable the 4.0l straight 6 is, we decided to take a shot. we brought it back to the dealership, got keys made for it. to get started, we put a new battery, fuel pump, fresh gas and a new set of plugs and wires, a little tlc and she fired right up. even though the oil change sticker shown it was just done before she got parked, we went ahead and put fresh oil it in. took her for a ride and decided that the brakes needed some new kicks in the front including (pads, rotors, calipers). after that took i her home for the weekend and put about 50 miles on it. the motor sounds strong, the transmission shifted through the gears with ease. just an overall solid little jeep for someone to either make an ultimate off road vehicle or to bring it back to its glory days. the tires you can tell were replaced before it sat and have plenty of tread but they are dry rotted from sitting for so long and need to be replaced. this alone would suggest that whomever wins this auction either have the jeep transported or picked up on trailer. i would not drive any kind of long distance on these tires. there are no service lights on at this time and i believe this would make a nice little project for someone.
the exterior as you can see is in ok shape. there are no major dings or dents. the paint is faded and has its imperfections(see photos and video). the jeep does not have a top but it does have all the rails and they are in working order. windshield has a crack in it. undercarriage is in great shape. still a very workable foundation but you can tell it had been sitting.
the interior as you can see for its age is in better than expected condition. the seats are still in good shape. the drive seat does have 2 small splits on the outside seat bolster but the rest of them are in good shape and a good cleaning will have them looking like new. the carper was removed and the floor was sprayed with bedliner to protect if from the weather. its probably something most of you would do any way. the interior door panels are in great shape. windows crank with no issues. the gauges all appear to be in working order. the aftermarket radio works without issues and put out a good sound through the factory speakers and soundbar. the heat works without issue. the a/c needs to be serviced. again it hasn"t been used in forever so could use a charge or an r-134 retrofit kit. 4wd engages without issue and everything else seems to be in working order. if it wasn"t for having enough projects i"d love to see this jeep through to the end.
make no mistake this handyman special is going to need some love, but all of the major components are there for a great jeep. if you are unsure of something please ask. assume nothing.
