“Grace, Pace, and Elegance have always been the hallmarks of Jaguar cars . Unlike other manufacturers, Jaguars were never flamboyant, but rather they have always exhibited a timeless, understated style that that allows them to turn heads no matter how old the car may be. The "face lift cars" (1993-1996) are considered the cream of the crop by collectors, and the 4.0 liter six cylinder engine is nearly bullet proof, making the car an effortless 100 MPH cruiser for those brave enough to risk an encounter with the law. Overall the car is very good condition, only let down by a few minor blemishes in the paint, and some shrinkage to the top around the rear window. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition, tires have less then 1000 miles on them, the wood is excellent, and the leather shows only minor wear. A first class, driver quality XJS, the car has been garaged and carefully serviced all of it's life, first in Florida, and later, in Virginia.” |

Vehicle description
Mechanically the car is in great condition, everything works, it starts, runs, and drives well. Tires have less than 1,000 miles on them. The air blows cold, and a new, heavy duty battery was fitted on 8/10/18. The brake lines have been flushed and the apportioning valve replaced within the last week. The car has been rigorously serviced by Foreign Affairs in Staunton, VA, and is as nice (or nicer) than a lot of the XJS convertibles listed for twice the price here on ebay. The power top and rear quarter windows work perfectly. There is a slight separation between the fabric top and the rear window seal (see photo), which can be repaired by replacing the seal. The headliner is in perfect condition and there are no tears or stains on the tan fabric top. All in all the exterior is in very good condition. There are a few small blemishes in the clear coat (again, see photo) and it may be possible to touch these up. As far as the interior goes, the leather is excellent, as is the wood. The carpets show some wear, as is to be expected in a 24 year old car. Overall this is a no apology, better than "driver quality" classic car with no, repeat, no known mechanical faults, or other significant problems, and is priced well below the market value. The car is sold being "as is, where is", without any warranty expressed or implied, and it is the buyers responsibility to arrange for pick up or shipping.
