Im selling my 1994 m998a1 with 10,800 miles (may change alittle, i still drive it several days a week). If your are looking for the ultimate off road vehicle, or just want to be noticed around town. This will get it done! It"s not your average humvee, before you purchase any h1 you should do some research on what motor you are getting because they are not all created equally. This has an updated 6.5 optimizer motor that has a casting stamp code of 09.22.2005 (see pics), GEP motors are stronger, have more power, and don"t have the several different cracking issues like the early casted blocks do. If you plan on adding a turbo this is the motor you will want to do it with, and if your familiar with diesels you can tell the motor is new by the color of the oil. with age the oil will go black no matter how much you change it (see pics). The truck has no dripping leaks, the transmission works perfectly and fluid is also as clean as can be. oil pressure can very a lot on these motors and be an very good indicator of the motor state of wear; this truck idles at 60 psi (see pics) when cold, and about 50 to 55 psi when warm. The PCB (protective control box) can also be and expensive headache on humvees as i have found, it has been replaced with the newer solid state control box with all new glow plugs. I put new batteries in about a year ago & I have started the truck instantly with several inches of snow on top after sitting outside overnight for over a week. In a nutshell this truck starts and runs perfectly, and definitely won"t disappoint in any way!. .
So some of the upgrades that are done on the truck are: Hard doors 2 stage base/clear automotive paint job with 2k primer base (won"t shrink and crack after a few years). Complete stripped down and truck bed liner applied to the inside for looks, durability, and sound. Super bright led light bar. Led headlights with halo running lights, and color changing turn signal. New tilting bucket race seats, (drivers seat is fully adj, up, down, in, out) unlike the factory 3 position. Keyed ignition. Custom bed cargo divider. Shaved reflectors, and random holes filled for an extra clean look. Undercarriage protective coating applied for heat and sound. Fully highway legal with an on road title. And more! Tire tread is 80% plus, and still have the run flat doughnuts w/ tire bead locks. actual vin is 153072, some pictures are before the upgrades listed but nothing has been removed from the truck just added so if you see it in the picture it will come with it.
