| “This Thunderbird has been adult owned, gently driven and meticulously maintained since it was new. This Thunderbird runs and drives great,reliably,and comfortably. The Air Condition is ice cold. This Thunderbird consistently passes inspection effortlessly and with flying colors. Due to being meticulously maintained with engine oil and filter changes done every 3,000 miles and transmission fluid and filter changes every 25,000 miles and being driven gently this Thunderbird consistently achieves 24 to 28 miles per gallon. This Thunderbird has the keyless entry option. I do not have the pad with the lock/unlock/panic buttons but the pads are available for between $15 and $30 on ebay and easily and quickly programmable to work with the car. This Thunderbird has flaws. The power radio antennae does not go up or down and is broken in the middle. The Kenwood radio/CD player works great and receives all local stations without static. The anti beggar/burglar 3000 paint is not a flaw.” |

Runs,drives, and stops great. Meticulously maintained drivetrain. Engine oil and filter changed every 3000 miles with Valvoline Oil and Motorcraft filter. Transmission Serviced with Valvoline Dex/Merc and a Motorcraft transmission filter every 25,000 miles. This Thunderbird was designed and engineered to last. It is one of the last that has a drain plug on the transmission torque converter to enable a complete transmission fluid change. After 1999 Ford discontinued the drain plug on the torque converter no longer permitting the complete drain of dirty transmission fluid. This vehicle has been adult owned,gently driven,and meticulously maintained. For these reasons as well as its serviceability this Thunderbird has many decades of reliable,comfortable service to give. New cars are smothered in planned absolescence with sub par quality parts, and the abscence of serviceability. I am a retired, formerly ASE certified auto technician with 30+ years experience in the automotive industry. The engine oil filter of this vehicle was primed by filling with oil at every oil change to prevent engine oil starvation at start up. This vehicle has had special,knowledgeable,competent care. This vehicle with the continued maintenance and gentle driving will continue to provide decades of reliable and comfortable transportation. I welcome any inspection so long as my insistence that this Thunderbird is handled with the utmost care is acknowledged and followed. I do not mislead or misrepresent anything I sell. My integrity is priceless. I am selling this Thunderbird because I downsized my residence from a home with a large garage and driveway to an apartment. I unfortunately do not have the room for the vehicles I own and regrettably selling three. This is a rare but great opportunity to buy a wonderfully reliable and comfortable vehicle that has been maintained by knowledgeable, experienced hands and driven ultra conservatively to ensure longevity. This Thunderbird has some minor flaws I have found acceptable to live with. I realize the new owner may or may not find them acceptable and would like to make clear the vehicles flaws. The power radio antennae does not go up or down and is broken in the middle. The Kenwood radio/CD player continues to work great and receives all local radio stations without static. The passenger side power mirror does not move with the power switch. The mirror is manually adjustable and holds its position. The drivers power seat needs help moving forward and rearward but is still adjustable. The out er layer of the drivers door panel separated from the inner portion at the top and occasionally causes the door panel to hang up on the door jamb when opening the door and requires a bump from the inside or jiggle from the outside. These flaws are easily correctable but being disabled I find the flaws easier to live with then to fix. The anti beggar/burglar 3000 paint job is not a flaw. It serves its purpose well. This is the vehicle you can buy and drive. This is not a vehicle you will buy and need to sink money into it for it to be reliable or pass inspection. If needed I would drive this car across the country tomorrow without a concern about reliability. If you have any questions please ask.
