I have loved this car for over 9 years and have driven it consistently but lightly over that time frame thus the low mileage at 152,750 miles. The car is an excellent working condition. It starts right up, engine is strong and runs really well - there are no mechanical issues that I am aware of. Regular maintenance has been performed by reputable Volvo mechanics both in Ann Arbor, Michigan and here in Salt Lake City over those 9 years. It drives as one familiar with these vehicles would expect, it also cruises on the freeway and can make it up the canyons. The car has a rebuilt title as you will see in the carfax report from an accident 18 years ago. Don't let that scare you, the car runs great and has been solid for me the last 9 years. I even had an expert Volvo mechanic (John at Vintage Volvo RIP) rebuild the front right a little better than the previous mechanic did post 2002 accident. Everything is in great working order. FYI, I am owner #4 and #5 on carfax - I moved from Ann Arbor with the vehicle. The timing belt and water pump were done at 119,500 so there is plenty of time to go there. New tires were put on last year plus an alignment makes for a smooth ride. New spare as well. Many other repairs were done to make this a vehicle in solid working condition (control arms, struts, bushings, shocks, rear main seal, etc.) I have always done the maintenance recommended by mechanics and have all maintenance records. The AC blows cold and the heater blows hot. This car was loved and not neglected. To note: the milage is accurate minus about 1500 miles max. The odometer went out in 2/19/2013 and was repaired on 10/17/2013. You can see on the carfax report the mileage has increased very slowly, but consistently over the years of its life. There are some items to mention. There is a little bit of small rust starting from rock chips on the front of the hood near the release, a small quarter size dent on driver side right front. The clear coat is going under the back two passenger windows and on a thin strip on upper tailgate. All shown in the photos. The underside does have some rust. The driver side seat has ripped at the seams and would need a new seat cover ($120 plus labor on eBay). A new radio with bluetooth was put in awhile back, but the original stereo with tape player comes with the car along with a repair book and some other items. Besides noted, the car is very clean and the interior is in excellent shape and clean with no smells, stains or anything. I am selling this vehicle because I am in a new life phase and need something that tows otherwise I would keep it. This car is a classic and iconic and they are starting to become collectible. If you look at bringatrailer you can see some examples on there. The Volvo has been an excellent family hauler, the large windows all the way around make for a great field of vision and driving experience, put down the seats and its like a mini pickup truck to haul supplies from the hardware store, many Christmas trees have been strapped to the top. I get comments on this car all the time. Especially how clean it is. But, it is time to pass it on to someone else who will love it as much as I have. I believe this car will run for a very long time and stand up to the reputation of the 240 wagons. Please let me know if there any questions I can answer.
