Vehicle description
I bought this car 9 months ago on impulse because I have always loved Corrados and thought it would be a fun toy for the summer. Over those 9 months, I have put quite a bit of money into it try to bring it back to its former glory. Alas, I am a student in Vermont, and this will not be making the trip up there. Chances are if you"re reading this, you know it"s a special machine and a sound investment. I will outline below the good and the bad as well as all the work I have had done on it. Side note- I kept the race number stickers on because I thought it was fun. .easily removable.
The good:
-Nearly new Kumho all season performance tires
-Clean title in my name
-PA state inspected through 5/20
-Starts and drives reliability, no significant engine/drivetrain problems
-No damaging rust (rare on these)
-Electronic spoiler, AC, heated seats all work
-Desirable color combination and rim package
-Tasteful mods (ECU tune, exhaust, Neuspeed parts, Koni springs, slotted/drilled Brembo brakes)
-Damn fun car to drive (completed a weekend at the track incident free)
The bad:
-Lots of dents and paint fading
-No headliner (presumably removed to repair broken sunroof)
-Valve tap sound
-Broken hood release
-Bad oil sensor (does hold oil fine)
-Sketchy drivers window regulator
Work done: LF axle LF wheel bearing Battery Battery Terminals Fuel lines Fuel filter Valve cover gasket Oil filter housing seal Serp. belt Front brakes (pads and rotors) Four Kumho tires
I really love this car and want to see somebody complete what I"ve started.
