Vehicle description
Sadly, I"m having to part with my beautiful friend, this dark blue 1993 Previa. It is shunned upon by the rest of my family and therefore not being appreciated like it deserves. I hope it will find a happy home with someone who appreciates its value.
This vehicle rides like a dream. The motor sounds strong and the transmission shifts like butter. Tires are 2-3 years old, brakes are recent. A/C is the coldest I"ve ever seen from a Previa, assisted by the tinted windows. The seats are in pretty good shape and this is an accident-free vehicle. All door locks and door handles work. Wipers are new. Landcruiser floor mat, wooden cup holder, and Mercedes hubcaps included!
Also included (if you want) is a 1991 Previa LE parts car. It has a good engine and transmission, but as you can tell by the pictures, the rest of it is pretty rough. Last 5 pictures are of that van. I have a clean title for it, but if the winner doesn"t want it, I"ll dispose of it.
Issues I know of: -Engine leaks a bit of oil, it looks like an oily mess under there, but I never have to add any between oil changes and it doesn"t stain my driveway too much. -Speedometer is inoperative. I"ve replaced the instrument cluster, but it still didn"t work (hence the lower mileage displayed in photos). Odometer works as do the rest of the gauges. -The sliding door will sometimes stick if it hasn"t been opened in a while. When this happens, I just have to pull the rear of the sliding door out and it works fine. -The rear A/C expansion valve makes a shriek like a wailing banshee when you turn on the rear A/C. It still works great, and I"ve grown kind of fond of the noise. It"s like its the unique special language of my van. -The headliner right by the windshield gets wet after a hard rain. I"ve taped up the roof moldings and windshield with minimal results. I keep a can of DampRid in the lower console to keep the musty smell away and the headliner always seems dry the next day. Weird. -The only button that works on the aftermarket CD player is the volume knob. There"s a remote control that changes source and radio stations, etc, but the soundtrack to Romeo & Juliet is stuck in the player. -The cigarette lighter is in the glovebox. I could not get the housing to snap into the console. -Moisture is getting in L/F side marker light.
