Selling my beloved 1993 Toyota 4Runner SR5 with NO RESERVE. I have owned this 4runner since 10/14. Its not pretty but runs great, has been incredibly reliable. It was a daily driver for 5 years but been parked as of late. I have put 300-400 miles on it since I started driving it again. I hate to let go of it but hate to have sit and decay. I know they are getting harder to come across; it needs to another Toyota lover. This would be a great hunting, camping, inclement-weather, first car, crawler, parts car (pains me to type that). This car has NEVER been on or behind a tow truck since I have owned it, by no means implying it is like new or without shortcomings. Initially was going to donate it to ASPCA but when the third party auction service called and classified it as "inoperable" due to a dead battery I decided to sell to someone who will truly appreciate it and make the best of this one, and make a donation to the ASPCA. No reserve. Located in Kansas City, MO. Will assist with transportation arrangements. No warranty expressed or implied; please keep in mind this is a vehicle with ~240K miles. Mechanical: 3.0L, 5 speed manual transmission. Odometer shows 280K, dash cluster was replaced prior to my ownership with a cluster from a higher mileage 4runner/Tacoma. True mileage is believed to be closer to 240K, title is mileage exempt- but clean. Slight oil drip, just enough to irritate. I had the rear main seal replaced shortly after I purchased. Previous owner did the timing belt, not sure what the mileage was when completed. Power steering works as it should. Pulls slightly left while driving; pulls a bit harder left when braking but no problem driving (warped disc/ stuck caliper ?). 5 speed manual transmission shifts great. All gears hold, nothing popping out. Clutch works as it should. Transmission shifts easily even without the clutch. I would not hesitate to drive cross state; that said, please plan accordingly- no warranty. AC will hold a charge for a few months. AC is currently NOT charged. I will likely replace battery prior to sale as the current battery has a dead cell.
Exterior: OEM SWING-AWAY TAILGATE SPARE TIRE CARRIER INCLUDED (USED, all parts included) never installed. Nicks, dents, rust, peeling clear coat in spots. Severe rust in rear quarters, rockers and bumper. Rust in bottom of tailgate. There is a grapefruit size dent (pic 7) in drivers side front door. I have ~105 pictures available. Please let me know if more pics are needed. All glass is good with the exception of 1 very minor chip in the driver side of windshield, and wiper mark on rear. Rear defrost does not work. Tailgate glass does operate from from console switch and tailgate. Tailgate glass does tend to sag on passenger side due to worn bearing/roller on regulator. Power antenna does not function. Tires have plenty of tread left, and some dry rot. Hold air well unless allowed to sit for weeks/months. Wheels and tires are off of a late model Land Cruiser. Wheels are showing bubbles. Rear wiper has been deleted. New door lock cylinders on driver and passenger side. Separate keys for doors and ignition/ tailgate. Muffler replaced a few years ago. OEM roof rack. New shocks all around. I do have a spare tailgate glass, included. Surface rust/ flaking on frame, from what I can see no rust-through on frame.
Interior: Drivers seat is well worn. Back seat is fairly clean. Rear carpet is damaged. No sag in the head liner. Sunroof delete from factory. Power locks/ keyless entry work. All power windows work. Rear window motors and tailgate motor are tired/slow but do operate. Tailgate glass tends to sag on one side when lowering due to worn bearing/ roller on regulator. Spare tire has never been on the road. All OEM tools/jack included. Dash is cracked in a few spots. Aftermarket stereo with bluetooth and USB input.
