Vehicle description
This is a factory fuel injection, factory air conditioning Samurai. It has never been crashed or repainted. The overall condition is exceptional. It has been used primarily as a tow vehicle behind an RV. It is stored indoors.
Improvements include a custom front bumper, that is properly secured to the frame in addition to a second tube that passes through the factory cross member to increase strength (for safe towing). I installed a custom six point roll cage for general safety. The Samurai experts from Trail Tough in Oregon provided the 4.16:1 low range transfer case that includes a 16% high range under-drive to compensate for the 9.50 x 30 x 15 tires, they also provided the shocks, multi-leaf springs, and brackets that converted this Samurai to have a really nice ride and drive incredible well. The transfer case has a "true neutral" to facilitate towing without risk.
While this Samurai has not been a serious off road vehicle it has enjoyed traveling many forestry roads and across an occasional creek. It has lived up to it"s international reputation as an excursion vehicle and is completely reliable.
The fuel infected engine is stock. The exhaust is enhanced with a 50 state smog legal Doug Thorley header and was replaced to the rear bumper. There are no computer codes, the check engine light functions as it should, and the 4WD light comes on when engaged in all wheel drive. There are no leaks or drips. Engine pictures are just as I have maintained it, not power washed or sprayed with any enhancement.
Original paint shines well with a small amount of aging due to continuous care and smart storage. No repaint has been done. Factory fender flares and all trim are intact. The seats have been upholstered similar to original with an insert to coordinate with the door panels. I have extra tune up parts that I will provide to the new owner. The soft top has no tears, windows are good. Also includes a bimini top.
This vehicle is ready to drive and go anywhere. It is not a restored vehicle, it has been maintained in spectacular shape. I have done all work to this vehicle myself. I purchased the vehicle completely original. from a personal friend who was a Samurai fanatic. I have watched Samurai"s for sale for a couple years and rarely ever see one as good as this one.
