Vehicle description
1993 Subaru Legacy GT twin turbo
Up for sale is a 1993 Subaru Legacy GT sequential twin turbo with a 5-speed manual transmission. It is a JDM import that was fully loaded for its time and is known as the Touring Wagon .
The vehicle is a Right Hand Drive model.
It has a clean Georgia title. The VIN number is BG5-009919.
The GT was available as five-door stepped-roof Touring Wagon (model code BG). It currently has 68,911 miles (110,258 kilometers) on the odometer.
Touring Wagon versions had the additional option of five-speed manual transmission with 4-Wheel Drive and Limited-Slip Viscous Centre Differential (VCD-4WD). The Second-Generation Subaru Legacy GT introduced Subaru"s new Sequential Twin Turbo version of their 1994 cc flat-four engine. The new engine, known as the EJ20H , operated with one small turbocharger at low engine speeds to give good throttle response, supplemented by a second turbocharger at high engine speeds for additional power. Maximum power output was 246.6 bhp at 6,500 . rpm and maximum torque was 227.8 lbft at 5,000 rpm.
This vehicle is one of the most fun to drive AWD cars on the road from the early 90s. I daily drove the vehicle for a while and enjoyed driving it over my newer vehicle . All the maintenance has been performed and is ready to be driven.
Features:
- Dual moonroofs, only the rear moonroof slides and tilts - Heated Power folding side mirrors - Power driver"s seat - Power windows - Digital automatic climate control, A/ C and heat - Momo three spoke steering wheel - Central power locks - Fog lamps - Rear defroster and rear wiper - Rear spoiler
PROS:
- The Michelin tires are in good shape and have plenty of tread left. - Paint corrected and then a ceramic coating from Avalon King Armor was applied. Ceramic coating protects the paint and maintains the shine for several years . - 20% tinted the windows. - Changed out the interior bulbs to LED as well as the tail lights and license plate bulbs. - The interior is in great shape. No rips, tears or stains. - Replaced the old yellowed headlights with new USDM units and upgraded the bulbs to LED. - Touch screen head unit with built-in Bluetooth audio and dual-phone pairing for hands-free calling and audio streaming . - Replaced all of the speakers because the original paper speaker cones had perished. - New Boost/vacuum gauge from GlowShift. - New shift boot. - I could not find any corrosion/rust anywhere on or under the vehicle. - A/C blows cold and heat works great. - No leaks or smoke from the engine . - Recently changed the coolant and flushed the brake fluid. - Performed an oil and filter change. - Replaced all the brake lines. - The original owner had the timing belt, drive belts and spark plugs replaced. - Rebuilt the steering rack and pinion and installed new rack bushings. - New inner and outer tie rod ends and boots. - Upgraded fuel pump to a Walbro 255LPH for the Subaru WRX. - Replaced the fuel filter and the rubber fuel lines that connect to the fuel rail . CONS: - The radio antenna is broken . - The paint still has some blemishes and various scratches that I could not remove. The are some scratches on the bumpers as shown in the pictures. - The original window vent shades were badly damaged therefore I removed them. This left marks as seen in the pictures below. - The finish of the Momo horn button on the steering is peeling. - A tab on the tonneau cover is broken. Additional pictures and videos
