Vehicle description
Selling my 1993 Ford Thunderbird SC (Super Coupe).
I just recently purchased this car from the second owner (one family) with the intentions of adding it to my collection and making it perfect, but shortly after found a 1987 Lincoln Continental with 43,000 original miles and my attention has turned to that, and this one has just been sitting.
Specs: 93 SC 3.8 Liter Supercharged V6 AOD 4 speed Automatic Transmission Fully loaded - Power windows, locks, 8 way adjustable leather seats, remote keyless entry. Automatic Climate control
JBL Sound system. Previous owner installed optional CD player slave as shown in the pictures. These were the previous owner"s pictures, the unit is now seated correctly. I will update the pictures in the next few days.
The good: Starts right up and runs excellent. Pulls strong, supercharger builds 11psi as expected.
Does not burn or leak any fluids. Brand new radiator New Heads and gaskets in 2012 Transmission shifts excellent, just replaced fluid and filter last week. A/C is VERY cold, and heat is very hot. Sound system works great, just replaced driver for factory subwoofer. Firm ride system still works Interior overall is pretty good. There is some stitching splitting on the front seat and a little on the rear, but could be restitched pretty easily.
The not so good: Odometer has stopped working (VERY common issue on these cars). New gears are readily available on the internet, and is easy to fix, but true mileage is unknown, but if you look at the mileage patterns on the Autocheck report and the condition of the vehicle, I would be very confident saying it"s very close to 110-120k. The speedometer and all other gauges work just fine.
Car is a ten footer. There is some paint fade on one of the fenders, a small spider type crack on the paint on the front bumper, and a small ding on the trunk. One of the taillights has a few cracks from heat fatigue. Passenger side power window stopped working right after I got it. Pretty sure it needs a new regulator. Seats are in fairly good shape, above average for age, but the leather on the passenger seat is pretty hard, and I would suggest conditioning it. Automatic seat belts have stopped being automatic. (Again, common issue) - They are in the proper position , but you have to put them on manually.
Tires have great tread but are old, and show cracking. Would suggest replacement. I wouldn"t be afraid to drive the car anywhere with them, but I wouldn"t keep them on long term.
I try to be as honest as I can about my vehicles. At the end of the day, it"s a 25 year old car and some wear is expected.
Clean title, ready to go. Super coupes are bringing ridiculous money today, and I have set the price fair. I am not looking to make any money on this, just to recoup my expenses.
I will try to get better pictures if the weather cooperates tomorrow.
