Vehicle description

1993 Bronco 4x4 302 project truck-
Runs/drives/stops
New: Master cylinder Rough Country front brake hoses Wheel seals Motorcraft plugs Fuel pump 33" Cooper AT3"s
Interior/Misc: Odometer and fuel gauge do not work, the truck is TMU but presumed to be around 120K based off autocheck and previous registrations. The driverside seat doesn"t flip forward. The air lumbar works great, passanger side has a leaking line or diaphragm. The power windows are a little slow and need some seals but they all work including the power tailgate glass. The passenger wiper is off track. The ignition switch was replaced with a pushbutton start.
Body: Was repainted about 10 years ago, and looks good from far but is starting to show it"s age- classic Florida sun fading/peeling and swirl marks, minor dings. It also has all of the classic 3rd gen Bronco issues from where they hold water- the tailgate is rotted (available new for $300) but still functions. The B-pillers have been filled in the corners, and there is very light bubbling in one spot behind the passenger door. The windshield area has light rust as well in a few spots. The rear cargo area had some rust tiuched up as well. The fenders, rockers, doors, etc are all excellent rust free condition. The pro-comp wheels could use a good polishing. The driverside taillight is missing a piece. I have the reflector and emblem for the tailgate not pictured.
Engine: The engine starts right up, does not have any oil or coolant leaks, has great oil pressure, and temperature stays perfect. Commensurate with the age it has some issues- a loud leak at the rusty headers, the idle fluctuates and goes a bit high at times. I believe one of the emissions systems (egr or AIR) is causing a vacuum leak. It also has a misfire while driving, and generally runs poor with the lack of o2 sensors. The exhaust was cobbled together temporarily and should be replaced.
Drivetrain: The transmission shifts through all the gears great, I believe it has a shift kit. The fluid is showing it"s age and is due to be changed but there is no glitter or clutch pack material. The 4x4 is inoperative due to an electrical issue, it could be as simple as a fuse or worst case the 4x4 module or encoder, I have not attempted to diagnose it but it is very straightforward to do please see this link- http:/ ylobronc.users.superford.org/documents/electric1356/elec1356.htm The rear dif was inspected when the wheel seals were replaced and, as would be expected with the bulletproof 8.8- it was in great shape. The ratio is 3.08
Steering/suspension: The u-joints could stand to be serviced, but there is no noticeable play in them. The balljoints, tie-rods, sway bar links, and steering components are tight, the idler arm bushing has some cracking. Warn locking front hubs work great. The front unit bearings are do to be replaced, there is a negligible amount of play in each front wheel and they can be heard humming.

I have a clean and clear Florida title. Being almost 30 years old it goes without saying that his vehicle needs some work before becoming a daily driver or taking on a long roadtrip, but I wouldn"t hesitate to drive it home if you live local. If you aren"t comfortable doing that I will provide towing up to 100 miles from Hobe Sound.
The vehicle has a good battery, will easily drive on and off a trailer multiple times, and a transporter or 18-wheel car carrier will have no problem turning around in the cul-de-sac in front of the house. I was quoted approx. $750 on U-ship.com to go 1500 miles north to Massachusetts. As it currently sits the total height is 6"11" and the length is 15"10"
I appreciate you taking the time to read this description all the way through! I have been a mechanic for over 20 years and have done my best to list all of the nuances of this truck, maybe even to a fault. For 30 years old it"s a great base to start with and it still rolls out ???? Perfect for a father/son project that you can take to the beach while teaching the basics, a first vehicle that you can chip away at until you get your license, or a black beast with clean body lines ready for a full restoration.
