This 1993 Z28 is a ton of fun to own. Sadly, it"s time to move on to a more practical vehicle. A lot of work has gone into keeping this car in great shape. It"s been adult-owned and driven with care.
The LT1 engine was rebuilt at 171,XXX miles with ported & polished heads, 1.6 roller rockers, and a mild cam by Comp Cams. This cam gives a good power boost and slight loping idle sound while maintaining low-end torque and keeping it every bit as friendly to drive as stock.
Every sensor was replaced when the engine was rebuilt, and within the last 2,500 miles it has also received a new McLeod clutch, MSD optispark (a big improvement over stock), and new OEM-style brakes.
The exhaust system starts with Edelbrock short tube headers into an OEM Y-pipe, through a gutted cat, and into a Paradox Signature Series muffler/resonator.
The front tires are almost new with about 1500 miles on them - they are BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 in size 245/40R18. The rear tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports in size 275/35ZR18 and are due for replacement. They"ve been on the car for a few years and don"t have a lot of tread left. The wheels are by TSW.
It would be hard to find a Z28 of this year in better condition. It"s been well-cared-for by adult owners that have babied the car and put many all-nighters into improving and maintaining its condition. With that said, we believe a car like this should be a driver, not just locked in a garage and taken to car shows - so there are a few tiny little rock chips and things of that nature. It"s not a frame-off restoration. If you"ve owned an F-body before, then you"re aware that these cars always have their random little quirks regardless of condition.
Custom tune by PCM of North Carolina, which is one of the most reputable LT1 tuning companies around.
Everything in the interior has been replaced, except the headliner (currently grey metal with no headliner).
The paint color is GM"s Sunset Orange, the same paint offered on C6 Corvettes.
Heat and A/C work. No dash warning lights or engine codes are present.
All buttons and switches work, keyfob is included with lock/unlock/alarm buttons and ignition & trunk key.
There are 6 small fog light bulbs on the front grill. Most of them need to be replaced - I don"t drive with them on much, so I just haven"t bothered with it.
I currently have the windshield wipers disconnected. The linkage bushings are shot so they kept popping out of place. They"re about $5 for a pack, but I never drive it in the rain so it"s easy to forget.
It"s easy to fall in love with this car, and we"ll be sad to see it go. Let me know if you have any questions!
