The Cadillac Allante is 2 seater luxury roadster produced from 1987 - 1993. The North Star 4.6L DOHC engine was introduced in this final year of prodution. The body was produced by the Italian coach builder Pininfarina, then shipped to the US for installation on a Cadillac chassis and running gear. The audio system is the Delco "Premium Symphony Sound System which still sound great. The engine and systems all around the car are monitored by a multiple computer systems which relay information to a digital information console as well as the analog gauges.
The car starts, runs and drive fine. There are some error codes that appear while driving such as AC needs charge, Road Sensing System needs maintenance, and just recently and message that Traction Control is disabled (that just started but the bracking system shows no errors or alarms). The tires are Goodyear Eagles, age unknown but after the car sat idle for a few years I believe that have developed flat spots so it rides a little hard. And the front 2 tires do have slow slow leaks (especially the drivers side).
The convertible top is in very good to excellent condition. Note: if you have followed these cars in the past you may have seen and ad that indicated this car has an electric top. Not so - the top opens and closes manually. There is an motor pull down that is activated at the final of putting the top back up.
This car has had cooling system issues in the past with a tendency to run hot in summer and when stuck in slow moving traffic. Since the cooling system flush this problems seems to have abated. The aluminun block engine is cooled by dual electric fans and an oil cooler. A known issue with the early North Star engines was a problem related to the appearance of the engine loosing oil pressure which in turn activated the computerized alarm system. As part of flushing the oil system I installed a new oil pressure sensor and modified the oil sensor mount at the oil filter adapter to include the capability to attach an oil pressure gauge. This allowed me to verify that this was a false alarm. At normal operating temperature the oil pressure range is between 25 PSI (400-500 RPM) to 60-70 PSI when underway. n At the time I purchased the car the A/C was working and still maintains a minimum charge. However a full charge of R12 or the newer R1234 is needed. I attempted to add R12 but so far have been unsuccessful.
I am offering this car for sale with a low starting price and low Buy-It-Now price. I have a complete service manual for the car with detailed maintenance instructions for all aspects of the vehicle with an extensive section on the various error codes and electrical diagrams for all the sensors, computers, relays, etc. So if you are mechanically inclined, want a challenging but cool ride convertible, this is the car for you.

Final payment can also be made via cashiers check or cash (title is clear delivery will not be made until final payments are in hand). Shipping must be arrange and paid by the purchaser but will assist the shipper in pickup. Local pickup is available but you will need to bring your own license plate or trailer.
PS - In the past I have sold numerous cars and boats on Ebay. Since I have not done so in past 6-7 years, Ebay not show any sales within the past 12 months, however you can see from status that I have over 130 transaction in the past. I have never had a negative rating as either a buyer or seller.
