Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 1992 Volvo 240 is an original. The owner has had it for 5 years. The vehicle runs great and is used as a daily driver. Vehicle Details Selling my 1992 Volvo 240 wagon, as I have too many other cars (almost 10 euro wagons), and it’s a very well sorted turnkey car. Over the past five years, this car has undergone some serious upgrades and replacement parts and repairs. The fun for me is the build - aside from some body work and a few other small modifications I would have done, as well as a few personal touches, this car is a blank slate. These are only going up in value, and I can’t watch mine keep sitting. Here’s the list of repairs, upgrades, and replaced parts: Exterior: - euro glass e-code headlights with euro corners, retrofitted 6000k LED H4’s - amazing light output - IPD rear taillights - painted 14” steel wheels with (older but good tread) Michelin all season tires, fresh balancing - “Prancing Moose” fender badges - Polestar trunk badge - IPD roof rack delete plug kit - LED license plate bulbs - recent crack and damage free windshield glass - very clean overall, very little rust - small area of rust with perforation below the left taillight (pictured) - small area of rust on the front edge of the right rear wheel well (pictured) - pinch welds soft Interior: - clean, original tan heated leather seats, all in great shape aside from a few burst seat seam stitched - headliner clean, intact - dash has minimal cracking - cluster working 100%, upgraded top lighting to LED, as well as the HVAC controls, makes a huge difference at night - Dave Barton odometer gear - oem Tachometer installed, fully functional, accessory smaller clock installed - brand new Bluetooth compatible radio - fancy “Volvo” keychain (if you’re still reading this, you should buy this car) - no leaks - all windows and locks work - hvac controls, cruise, signals, auto shifter, seat controls all work - new door pin switches for all five doors - sunroof looks almost factory quality, but I never used it. The previous owner siliconed around the edge for some reason? - same silicone with fabric to block the cowl intake ducts? They’ve since been removed, but some silicone is still dried on. A few homemade spray paint spots, other small blemishes, over all a great 10 footer daily. Now for the fun part: the undercarriage and drivetrain: - refurbished oil pan under coated and painted red as it was intended - brand new oil pan gasket, mounting hardware and drain plug - new motor mounts with cleaned motor mount arms - new timing belt kit with tensioner, idler, belt, etc - fresh Delo 15w40 oil change with MANN filter - fresh Bosch plugs - fresh spark plug wires, cap and rotor (all Bosch) - thermostat, water pump - new accessory belts, tensioners - valve cover gasket - various hoses and clamps - all new fluids (oil, power steering, transmission, rear differential, coolant, brake fluid - literally every drop is new) - front lower control arms, bushings, - inner/outer tie rods, - power steering lines (high pressure and return) - radiator with upper and lower hoses - fresh transmission fluid and filter - new center support bearing - new stainless steel brake lines, hard lines - cleaned, serviced and painted calipers (fronts are impossible to find single input abs ????) - new fuel tank that’s been rhino lined, new mounting hardware - new fuel filler neck gasket, hardware - new AEM 320 fuel pump, Bosch transfer pump, MANN fuel filter, new level sender, all new gaskets, hoses, seals, sensors - recent exhaust manifold and down pipe, gaskets & hardware - springs and sway bars are powder coated matte bronze - new trailing arms - almost completely new hardware - new German brake pads and low mile rotors, including new front backing plates (installed) and rear backing plates (provided) - new flame trap & breather box - pcv drain hose - full tune up - powder coated center support bearing cross member - powder coated transmission brace - new Bilstein touring shocks with new upper mounts, all new hardware - powdercoated sway bar mounts, with new rubber bushings, and new links I’m sure I’m missing some. This is a great car, and deserves a better more dedicated owner that will love it and enjoy it for a VERY long time. Happy bidding! Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
