Vehicle description
Hi Folks, I am selling the very last classic car out of my collection. It"s the last one because it"s my all time favorite, go to, car! My wife and I have retired and now live full time in our RV. Bringing the Miata with us isn"t an option.
I am selling my 1992 Mazda Miata. This has the fun stick shift. This Miata has only 83,577 miles on it, though it may increase a little, since I like to exercise her regularly. This car is in very, very good condition. I believe you would be hard pressed to find another one in this condition. No accidents, no repairs. And you can run Historical Plates on this car! That means license her once and you won"t have to renew for 50 years! She shifts very well, quiet and precise. Always starts easily, idles perfectly. The provenance on the car is interesting in that she was sold from a dealer in Mansfield, OH to a woman from Galion, OH, 15 minutes away. The car has never been more than 2 hours from it"s original home. Never! Here are some of the upgrades I have done: *Wind Blocker *New convertible top. Back window is still very clear. *Original Manuals *New plug wires *New Clutch Master Cylinder *New Clutch Slave Cylinder *New brake pads *Turned front brake rotors, to improve quietness *New BF Goodrich G-Force Super Sport A/S Tires 185/60-14R *Flyin" Miata 2.5 Suspension Upgrade. Here is an excerpt from their website: All the handling benefits of our Stage 2 suspension with some extra travel in the rear for an even better ride. Keith has a car with this setup and he swears by it. So does his wife. We consider this suspension package to be well designed for the Miata that has to do everything. For example, when we go to a track day, we have to drive 5 hours over twisty, bumpy mountain passes to get to the track. Then, after pounding our turbo Miatas around the track all day, we drive home over those passes. This suspension is equally happy in both situations. How much will this kit lower your car? We can`t tell you, because Mazda changed the ride height of Miatas over the years. However, if you measure from the center of the wheel to the fender lip, you can compare your car to the final result. It`s not a huge drop but once you drive the car you`ll appreciate how well it works. Specifications for the 1990-05 cars
Front springs: 318 lb/in
Rear springs: 233 lb/in
Front ride height: 12.5"
Rear ride height: 13" Four FM springs matched with 5-way adjustable Tokico Illumina shocks, FM sway bars and two FM upper shock mounts as well as new polyurethane bumpstops for all four corners. Please understand, these upgrades improve the performance of the car, but only in the drivability of the car. She hasn"t had any engine performance modifications. What I enjoy most about this car is driving her through the curvy roads! With the upgraded suspension and tires, this car sticks to the pavement. Really! The suspension is not a stiff ride. The combination of tires and correct suspension makes for a much better, more secure, and more comfortable ride than OEM. I am a fanatic about maintenance. All of my vintage cars and motorcycles get at least one oil change a year, whether the mileage indicates it is due or not. Generally speaking, I change oil approximately every 1,500 - 2,000 miles on all my vintage vehicles. This Miata has had an oil change every fall before she get"s put up for the winter. All of my vehicles are stored in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. The temperature never gets below 64 degrees, nor above 76 degrees. All of my vintage motorcycles, and cars, get ethanol-free gasoline and SeaFoam, always. No rust in the gas tank. Also, all of my vintage motorcycles, and cars, are kept on Battery Tender"s year round. Feel free to contact me about seeing the car in person. I welcome visitors! Test drives may be available, but please have cash in hand.
Thanks for your time,
