Vehicle description
Lotus Other . Condition is Used. 1992 Lotus Elan M100 Good Condition If you are looking at my ad, you are likely familiar with these cars, but just in case, here is some history.
The Lotus Elan M100, launched in 1989, was a two-seater, convertible sports car designed by Peter Stevens and produced by Lotus whilst under the ownership of General Motors. The M100 Elan’s cornering performance was undeniable. On release the Elan was described by Autocar magazine as the quickest point to point car available. The Elan M100 has made its mark in history as arguably the finest handling front wheel drive car ever made. Altogether 3,855 Elans were built between November 1989 and July 1992, including 129 normally aspirated (non-turbo) cars. 559 of them were sold in the US. The car runs, shifts, drives, brakes and steers really well. The interior while comfortable could use a clean and a refresh. Back window is clear, but the top could use some repair. Top frame is good. All wheels straight with no curbing. Tires have decent tread, but are old, and likely best to replace them. Paint is 8/10. It is presentable Car was repainted and it looks good from 5 feet. Few indications of the respray. But if you want to show this car, I would suggest that some paint work be done. Zero body damage and fiberglass is in good shape. Currently the car is running with a manual steering rack. These cars are so light, there does seem to be a need for a power rack, but I am including a newly rebuilt rack in the sale. Lots of receipts and documentation. Clean/clear title. A few extra parts included. I am happy to work with the buyer"s transporter if needed. But transportation of the car is at the buyers expense. Deposit of $500.00 due via Paypal within 24 of commitment to purchase. Remaining within 3 days unless arranged otherwise. The car is sold AS IS. You are encouraged to come and inspect it in person. Please ask questions before bidding. I"m happy to answer any questions.
