About this vehicle This 1992 GMC Typhoon is a modified vehicle with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is not regularly driven. Seller"s Notes The GMC Typhoon (only 4,697 produced in total) used a turbocharged 4.3L V-6 producing 280 horsepower at 4400 rpm and 350 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 rpm. Factory engine mods included lower-compression pistons, special intake and exhaust manifolds, a sweet multipoint fuel injection system, bigger twin-bore throttle body from Corvette's 5.7L small-block, and of course - the Mitsubishi TD06-17C turbocharger with a Garrett water-to-air inter-cooler. Exterior Corvette wheels are in near perfect condition 18” rear 17” front. A few scratches & a bit of rust near passenger side air dam but no major body issues. Interior Engine The motor & turbo are solid. No leaks, runs great. 160° T-stat runs cool OBD1 scan shows no codes. The heat works great but A/C lines aren’t holding a vacuum, the A/C voltages are present @ compressor & pressure sensor Included new in boxes are DLZ suspension parts: upper & lower Control arms with ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, pitman arm, tie rod ends & adjusting sleves. The front cv shafts & drive axle are in possession but off the vehicle. It is just as road worthy without AWD. (removed only for the staggered Corvette wheels) Created on the Motors app
