1992 CHEVROLET CAMARO z28 25th anniversary CONVERTIBLE WITH FACTORY 5-SPEED AND ASC 350. IT HAS 116K MILES.
THE CAR IS IN DECENT SHAPE BUT NOT PERFECT. HAS SOME RUST BUBBLING IN A COUPLE PLACES and the paint is far from perfect. It runs good and the clutch/engine/trans are in good shape.
THIS IS THE LAST YEAR FOR THE 3RD GEN CAMAROS AND ONLY 1200 OF THOSE CONVERTIBLES
OF THE 1200 CONVERTIBLES SOME WERE V-6 SOME WERE V-8 VERY FEW HAD THE FACTORY 5-SPEED AND TPI V8.
YOU COULD NOT GET A 350 IN A FACTORY CONVERTIBLE , THE LARGEST ENGINE YOU COULD GET IS THE TPI 305 -ONLY THE Z28 COUPE HAD THE 350 CORVETTE ENGINE AVAILABLE. AND THIS IS A FACTORY CONVERTIBLE STATED IN THE 6TH DIGIT IN THE VIN. SO GM WOULD HAVE ASC , THE ONLY AFTERMARKET COMPANY APPROVED BY GM DO THE APPROVED UPGRADES. SO IT WOULD STILL BE UNDER WARRANTY. SO THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW AS A FACTORY CONVERTIBLE WITH A 5-SPEED AND TPI 305 AND THEN UPGRADED BY ASC TO THE 350 CORVETTE TPI. IT IS SIMILAR TO THE C.O.P.O PROGRAM IN THE EARLIER DAYS. IT HAS FACTORY A/C POWER WINDOWS AND DRIVERS SEAT. THIS WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE CAMARO IN 1992 AND WITH EVERY OPTION BESIDES LEATHER.
