Vehicle description
Vehicle Details Up for Auction is a 1992 BMW 318i Convertible with 162,442 original miles on a working odometer. Mileage may go up slightly as I drive it just a few short miles a week. The interior is in near perfect condition with NO cracks in the dash and no rips, tears or holes in the upholstery. All gauges and electronics work, however the AC does not blow cold air and may need a charge. The fan blows on high only, but I have ordered the fan resistor and will try to get it installed before the end of the auction. The OEM fabric top is in great condition with no rips, tears or holes. However, some of the fabric has come loose from the tubing around the rear window. The plastic window remains soft with no cracks, and is clear with some minor fogging and small spots. The top works great. The original paint shines nicely with no fading or peeling and it is very presentable; although there are minor scratches, nicks, dings, and some minor road rash around the car. No issues with the clear coat or the paint. There was some bubbling / minor rust at the jack points, that has since been cleaned out, and repaired with beginner body work, and painted for preservation and esthetic purposes. It should be fine left like it is, or finish it professionally. A tiny minor rust spot remains on the inside left rear wheel well lip. At some point the left corner on the rear bumper mold stip came in contact with something, and caused a small crack in the plastic body to bumper cover. The underside has normal surface rust and discoloration for it's age. This can be cleaned up easily. The rear skirt under the bumper was slightly damaged. The car runs and drives great with newer tires for a tight, aggressive, yet smooth handling; that is reflective of the BMW "Ultimate driving machine" claim. Shifts smooth with no unusual noises; however, the shifter is a little stiff. It is very reliable and fun to drive. It has been taken on trips in upwards of 2 hrs with no issue. Included is a long history of documented regular maintenance and service; along with the original owners manual and leather booklet. This is a great driver condition collectable. Drive it and show it off as is, or enjoy it while perfecting it to your liking. The Clean CarFax / Autocheck confirms the mileage and shows no accidents or incidents with a Clear and clean title. I have attempted to describe the car to the best of my ability, however, it is "Sold As Is" with no implied warranty. I have many more pictures to show details of anything I have describe as well as anything I may have left out. So if you have any questions or concerns, PLEASE ask and / or request additional pictures before bidding. I reserve the right to end the auction early or cancel any bidders with less than 5 Ebay feedback. A $500 Non-refundable deposit is due within 24hrs of auction ending. Images Download the Motors app
