Vehicle description
1992 Acura NSX Turbo 5 speed manual (450/550/625whp). 16x,xxx miles on body and climbing slowly. Clean title and no lien. Have many records going back to delivery. Engine has about 5000 miles since rebuild. Car runs excellent starts easily, has newer premium leather seats from Leatherseats.com ecru/ivory leather seats, Stephen Deisinger’s carbon fiber center console, 4200NEX head unit (Apple and Android compatible, Rockford sub, and SOS 7” display running the Gauge Art display adapter, HID light mod, Dali Fire extinguisher bracket and chrome extinguisher. Escort built in radar detector (9500ci?), Momo Wheel with quick release. AC blows cold and speakers work. Traction control is disconnected as is the ABS.
Engine- 3.0L block Benson sleeved, Carrillo rods, CP pistons, SOS LMAs, Billet Oil Pump, ARP bolts all around, Cometec head gasket, ATI SuperDamper, WPC treated bearings, pistons, and rings. Engine built to handle 1000+whp. B&W SX366 turbo with boost controller and it has a custom water to air intercooler. The ECU is the AEM Infinity which in connected to the gaugeART display and an AEM selectable switch which allows 450whp-550whp-625whp. Timing belt and water pump are about 2 years old and less than 1000 miles. 625whp setting for E85 with fully compatible pump, submersible hoses and E85 Sensor. You don’t have to run E85. It runs on pump gas at low and mid range boost settings with no issues. MASIV radiator with custom dual Spal fan setup.
Transmission and Clutch- Transmission was built by Nick Eustace at Applied Motorsports. All gears were WPC treated. Nick has built transmissions for several high horsepower cars and the WPC treatment was beneficial to the FXMD which before the treatment went through a few transmissions. I am running an Exedy Triple metallic clutch which easily holds the torque.
Suspension and Brakes- KW V3, non-compliant rear beam bushing and links. Also has the Cedar ridge front pivot clamps. Stoptech front and rear brakes with the E-Brake. Currently has Carbotech brake pads.
Wheels- 2 sets of OZ Ultralegera wheels, one set is bronze with only a few hundred miles with 3 year old StarSpecs the other is an older set of OZ wheels with 2.5 year old Maxis RC-1 tires.
I consulted with numerous NSX experts during this build and took their lesson"s learned to heart. I have taken reasonable steps to make sure that at the current power levels that the car will remain reliable. Little things like making sure the hoses and pump are E85 submersible, that the transmission is built properly and WPC treated, use proper cooling such as the MASIV radiator, upgrade intercooler to reduce intake temps, big brake kit so it can stop, etc. I do drive this car it is not a garage queen but I have taken good care of it. Paint is bright and most folks can’t believe it is a 25+ year old car and paint. It has a few chips and dings including a bit of paint peeling near the front tow hook. I have a bunch of stock parts as well. Car is very reliable and turn key ready to go
