Vehicle description

Looking to sell my 1991 300ZX twin turbo 5 speed. I am the third owner of this car, the previous owner being my brother in law. It currently has over 148k miles on the chassis and a recently installed JDM replacement motor. This is a true twin turbo model not a N/A to turbo conversion, hence the N1C in the VIN. Since the JDM engine install, I have put 500 miles on the motor, changed the oil and filter, to flush fresh clean oil through the engine. The original engine was replaced due to low compression in one of the cylinders. I have the original complete motor in my garage waiting for a rebuild and the winning bidder is welcome to it for free as long as they pay the shipping for it. I will strap it down to a pallet and send it to them via freight which runs about $350 depending on your location. The reason why I am selling her is because I live in a state which requires the smogging of 1976 and up cars every two years with the expectation of old cars to release the same amount of hydrocarbons as a Toyota Pirus. This is a 1991 twin turbo Z and let’s face it, to unlock her true potential she’s not going to pass those standards, so she should go to another state outside of California that doesn’t have such ridiculous rules. As with any older car there are some things which need to be addressed which I have listed below.
The Good:
I have multiple receipts which I will include on a thumb drive of all the work I had done to it.
The original engine was replaced with a low mileage JDM engine
I replaced the electric shocks and springs with new KYB AGX adjustable shocks and new Tein luxury master springs.
I replaced the tires all around: 225/45/17 in the front and 245/45/17 in the rear
Twin HKS BOV’s were installed
Jim Wolf tuned ECU
The exterior was professionally detailed which brought the paint back to life minus the rear spoiler.
I will include a new in the box uninstalled HKS turbo timer and HKS boost controller
The Not So Good:
The windshield is cracked and should be replaced
The small cowl cover which cover the battery is missing
The driver’s seat stitching separated so I placed a half cover over it, see photo
The HICAS light comes on and disappears after about 10-15 minutes of driving.
She idles around 1000-1200 rpm.
Radio powers on, but nothing comes through the speakers except static, I’m told that this is a common issue with the Bose systems.
New cats if you’re going to smog her
The tranny does some weird things in 1st and reverse gear sometimes, where it sounds like the gear is grinding but will go away when to take it out of gear and put it back in, I think it has to do with the syncro. Hagerty lists her value in her current condition at 15k,but taking in consideration all her faults, I’m only asking for what is fair 11k. Please don’t low ball me and tell me how your buddy bought one for dirt cheap working at a pizza joint. I don’t NEED to sell the car; I just figure it would be better in the hands of an enthusiast who has the money to invest into it to release its true potential. Winning bidder must contact me within 48 hours to make arrangements for payment which include a $500 nonrefundable PayPal deposit deducted from the total of the winning bid. Shipping is not provided and will be arranged and paid by the winning bidder. If you have any questions feel free to contact me through ebay messenger,
DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO PURCHASE. I WILL REMOVE ANY BIDDERS WITH 5 OR LESS TRANSACTIONS WHO HAVE NOT CONTACTED ME FIRST. Thanks for looking.
