Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 1991 Nissan 300ZX is an original with updates to the exterior. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Buyer responsible for shipping. $500 deposit. Cash in hand when picking up. Vehicle Details 1991 300zx Twin Turbo. 2+0 t-tops coupe. Runs and drives great. Two years ago JDM engine with around 50,000 miles on engine installed at 105523 miles. Miles now are 117066. So there are 11543 miles since JDM engine installed.(Copy of invoice of work done is in pictures) Engine $2500 Installed work $3842.95 for total $6342.95 Work includes timing belt and tensioner replacement, water pump replacement, front engine seals replacement, clutch replacement, intake manifold gasket, turbo gaskets, oil pan seal, cam seal, rear main seal, crank gear, crankshaft seal, and more SEE INVOICE IN PICS. The turbos, injectors, intake manifold, GReddy exhaust, GReddy PRofec B boost control, and CPU were all upgraded by previous owner. Runs on high grade gasoline 91+ octane . I was told it around 420hp on dyno. All these upgrades were put on the JDM engine. EGR delete has been done. It does smoke intermittently after a pull and coming to a stop. It’s always done it occasionally since I’ve owned it. Never had a problem with it though. It does use some oil. I would occasionally have to put a fraction of a quart in. The PTU (power transistor) will need replaced. Around $200 part. After it warms up if you shut it off it needs to cool down before restart. There was a recall on the PTU. I’m trying to get my Nissan dealership to replace PTU due to recall but I don’t think they will. Coolant overflow tank needs to be reinstalled. I have original overflow container. Battery compartment area is corroded and rusted through. This is common problem on these cars. See pic. Earlier this year I sanded car down to bare metal. The body is solid. The only rusted through spots were in front of rear tires on bottom rocker panel. This was a normal problem for these cars. See pics. I deleted the power antenna, rear power wiper, front windshield fluid nozzles on hood. See pics. I used fiberglass for all these deletions. I also filled the factory groove in all around body with fiberglass. See pics This was my first fiberglass job so it’s not perfect but not bad. It could be gone over by someone with better skills then myself though. I put a quick coat of primer on. There is now a spot showing minor surface rust but not bad at all. Just needs touching up by someone with better skills. I deleted third brake light on hatch see pics I also deleted the front running /turn signal lights see pics I wired led strip lights in their place but never stuck them in place. They are there and work but not put on headlights. I also fiberglassed the rear license plate area in. see pics. I went to decal shop and had my tag made into decal. Front windshield wipers need reinstalled. Front inner plastic fender wells need reinstalled. Piece of inside trim on back hatch needs reinstalled. I could not find invoice for JDM engine. I paid $2500 for engine from a Z shop somewhere around Marion VA ,Wythville VA or Radford VA. I can’t seem to find them online again so if you know of a Z shop in this general area of Virginia please let me know and I’ll call and see if I can get a copy of invoice. Interior shows some wear. Leather seats and leather around shifter will need recovered. Some of the plastic trim may have minor cracking but it’s a 30 year old car. It has been stored under car port or in garage since I’ve owned it. The front windshield wiper cowl could be replaced. Another common problem on these cars. See pics. The brakes and suspension are still stock as far as I know. Wheels are 17” stock from a 350z I think. Tires are run flat and have a lot of tread left. New battery installed last week. Factory Bose radio and speakers have been removed. Please message me with any and all questions. Strong running cars just needs above mentioned items to finish it. Unless Nissan dealership agrees to replace above mentioned PTU the mileage should stay the same . I don’t drive it anymore. Lost interest in going fast and getting sideways.
