This auction is for a 1991 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL. This car began its life as a fleet vehicle for a company then was sold shortly after to a mechanic in New Brunswick that lived right next to me. The mechanic owned the car for around 25 years before retiring and selling it to me in 2019. The car was garaged and was not driven in poor weather. There is no rust or sun damage in the interior or exterior of the car as a result. This car has been shown a lot of love as can be seen with its extensive service records dating back to the early 90s. A few years ago, the car was given a fresh paintjob, new OEM wheels (period correct), a new A/C unit, radiator, fan tensioner and belt unit, and much more. The car starts up quick and shifts and runs great. There are 2 known issues with the car: the gas gauge is not entirely accurate and the odometer clonked out around 4 months ago. I bought this car in 2019 with around 137k miles and I only drove it on the weekends. I would say I put on around 2k miles at most and when the odometer gave out, it stopped at around 138k (photo of odometer is listed).
This is my second W126 and I absolutely love this car and would prefer to keep it, but after losing my job due to COVID, I have to let this beauty go. I have had no issues with this car during my ownership and recently gave it a yearly service. No leaks or issues were found.
