Vehicle description
Up for auction is my 1991 Jeep Wrangler. Truck runs and drives fine but does have a significant amount of rust. For the past 8 years we have used this truck to basically plow my self-storage facilities. It did this job very well. As such it was not used very often. Recently I came across a good deal on another wrangler to take it"s place in the plowing role so I no longer need this one.
Currently the truck still has a Meyers plow installed. This auction is for the truck only, the plow is NOT included in the sale. I will allow the winning bidder the option of purchasing the plow for an additional $1000, which is a steal for it. The truck is currently at my home in Hawthorne NJ and is available for inspection anytime prior to auction end. The plow assembly, the blade and such, are currently still at my storage facility in Montague NJ; roughly 45 minutes North of my home. Winning bidder, should you elect to also buy the plow, can pick it up directly from the storage place or I can bring the blade down to my home for pick up. Buyers choice.
The truck is currently buried behind the BMW and Porsche in front of my garage. I will be liberating it over the next few days and will provide more detailed pics at that time. As I said above, this truck has significant rust both on the body and the frame. I think it is still safe to drive as it sits but will require welding up some patch panels on the frame before considering doing any more plowing with it. The truck has also been sitting for quite awhile and will be needing a new battery. Anyway, this would be a great opportunity for anyone considering going into the plowing business. This truck could easilly pay for itself with the first snow storm.
Wranglers are probably the best choice when it comes to doing residential plowing as it is very meneuvarable and visibilty is exceptional making it very easy to plow effectively and safely.
As with most of my auctions, this is an absolute auction. That means no reserve price. The high bidder at the end of the auction is the winner regardless of price. Remember this when placing your bid. Be sure that you have the funds available, all questions and concerns answered thoroughly, and all permissions you may need from your mom, wife, or SO prior to bidding. A $500 deposit is required within 48 hours of auction end and payment in full within 7 days. Since this is an absolute auction, the buy it now option vanishes the second someone places the first bid. Anyone looking to buy it now can make an offer. The first reasonable offer gets the truck. However, once the auction gets to the last 48 hrs., this option will no longer be available and I will let the auction play out. Buyer is responsible for all pick up or shipping arrangements. I do have a friend that will deliver the car within 30 miles of 07827 for a flat fee of $300. Other than that, I will assist your shipper in loading of the vehicle in any way I can but all other aspects of transport are 100% the responsibility of the buyer. So in closing, good luck to all of you. Bid high and bid often. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.
