I have a 1991 3rd Generation Honda Prelude 2.0 SI for sale. This is one of the cleanest 3rd Gen Preludes on the road anywhere. I have restored and improved this car in many ways. Five speed manual transmission. Quick and very fun to drive!
This car is completely stock except for a genuine cold air intake. In the last year and a half, I have upgraded and completed the following work on this car:
Complete Engine rebuild with all new Pistons, rings, gaskets, bearings, thrust washers and seals. The engine block and head were hot tanked, decked, and milled, the cylinders were bored over, the crank was polished, the head got a valve job and all new seals and the Rods were reconditioned . All work was completed by Lee"s Automotive Machine Shop in Colorado Springs. I have the receipts.
Brand new clutch installed. Two brand new CV axles installed. Four brand new performance drilled and slotted rotors with brand new performance ceramic brake pads. New water Pump, New Fuel Pump, new fuel filter, new thermostat, brand new Gates Racing (Blue) timing belt, new cam seals, new tensioner, new power steering hose, new fan belts, newer battery and new custom true performance cold air intake. I"m sure there"s more but that"s all I can remember for now.
I put Acura LS Mesh 15 inch rims on the car and very good touring radial tires.
New manual transmission gear oil in the last couple thousand miles.
This is the last year of the 3rd generation Prelude. It shares many design similarities with the original 1991 Acura NSX. This car turns heads and I get questions all the time from car buffs.
Everything on this car works great including the sunroof. The only issues are a cracked windshield, a power steering leak and the A/C is not working. I was going to fix those issues too, but I ran out of time. I really don"t want to sell this car. I have done so much work on it. But I need to sell it because I am moving and it"s not going.
200,000 miles on the chassis , but only about 3,000 miles since the complete engine rebuild and all the new parts and work.
I know I will never recoup what I have invested (Over $4900 so far) but I am hoping a 3rd Gen Prelude enthusiast will purchase this classic and enjoy it like I have.
