About this vehicle This 1991 Ford Mustang is an original with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Clean carfax, and clean IL title in hand. Car is located in Northern Georgia. I recently moved and just made an 800 mile road trip in this car with zero issues. Payment accepted is cash or bank wire transfer. If you are local, please feel free to come see the vehicle. Vehicle Details Very nice 1991 Mustang LX 5.0. Fox bodies are becoming harder to find in this condition and are in demand. This Fox has many modifications and definitely drives like a modified car, but it's still got good street manners and it's extremely fast. Great for cruise nights and summer drives! Some minor paint chipping near passenger rear wheel well from rocks. Touched up area near passenger side wheel well (see pic). The car was definitely enjoyed over the last 30 years but taken care of. Stored indoors every winter and washed regularly. Car gets lots of compliments and is fun to take to cruise nights and shows. Ford original 1997 Cobra wheels Cervinis cowl hood painted to match. All of the work completed at Midwest Mustangs or by a certified Ford technician. Interior Interior is standard for 30 year old car. Some squeaks and rattles but overall clean. Double DIN head unit with iPod control and cd player. Radio is not connected. Original factory leather seats (see Marti report) are worn but rare. No cracks in dash. A/C was removed by previous owner - no longer worked and didn't want to convert. Air doesn't blow from vents but blows from defrost and floor (vacuum leak right behind center console, common on these. Vacuum connector is worn. Does make strong vacuum all the way to that unit). New floor mats. Carpet is standard for 30 year old car. Engine Car made 438whp/400 ft lbs torque on dyno. Tuned by Larry Stauner at ASSC Racing in Lake Villa, IL to make power safely. Car is tuned to run a bit rich to compensate for the supercharger. Many , many modifications including - Later model block. Was re-ringed and car burns or uses no oil. Rear main seal was replaced when the transmission was installed (because why not when its all apart!) Edelbrock Performer heads Trick Flow stage 1 cam Msd ignition 1.7 rockers 93 Cobra intake ported to match the heads Upgraded injectors Aluminum radiator Electric fan setup from later model Ford. Upgraded lb fuel pump High volume oil pump Vortech V1 trim with straight cut gears (loud!) Brand new TKX Transmission 5 speed Brand New Mcleod clutch (Car was originally automatic, fully converted including trans tunnel which is how they were built at the factory) Dynomax Ultraflo stainless steel exhaust Maximum motorsports front and rear control arms Welded in subframe connectors 31 spline Moser axles Eaton truetrac differential 3.73 Ford racing gear "Classic' FAST standalone fuel system. This helps the car idle nice and steady and is a huge upgrade over the stock mass air flow system. This Fox definitely drives like a modified car, but it still streetable and I just drove it 800 miles from IL to GA in one shot. Cruises nice and cruise control does work!
