Grandpas truck. For sale is a bone stock original 1991 Ford F150 shortbed XLT. This truck has had the same 2nd owner for over 20 years, been in the family since new, and is just coming out of long term storage. This 2WD truck is equipped with a 5.0 v8 engine, automatic overdrive transmission, 3.55 posi Trac rear end, and full power. you aren"t going to find a more original untouched well equipped shortbed around. Still has the original wheels.Selling for my wife"s family. Her great uncle bought it new, and then her grandfather got it from him about 20 years ago. Around 2005 the exhaust was needing replaced and the rear gas tank had a hole in it so he put it in dry storage. Within the last year he pulled it out and started on fixing it up, then became unable to do so. I have the clear title. THE GOOD - brought it home to work on it. I bought a recently wrecked 94 f150 with a complete newer dual exhaust system on it, and installed the exhaust system on the 91. I also installed the newer clean rear fuel tank and pump. In addition I installed a new fuel filter, spark plugs, serpentine belt, and upper radiator hose. I got it running and kind of driving (around the property), but it starts rough, been told probably an EGR valve that needs swapped out, I"m not sure. The body is straight as can be. Little rust, a spot or two here, mainly in the normal fender well but all there but very solid. The original paint is getting thin and chalky. The pictures make it look better than it is. I would probably paint it but if you like the patina look it"s got it. Her grandfather (as older guys do) spray painted on it in spots where it is getting thin. The original blue interior needs cleaned but there is not a crack in the dash or a rip in the seat one. The headliner is not ripped either though it is sagging some. Glass is all good.He had also bought a used reese hitch for it but never installed it , so it comes with it THE BAD - The front fuel tank has been removed, only running with the rear. New ones are on ebay for less than 100 if you wanted the second tank. The brake system needs work. There is a hole in the line somewhere because the pedal goes to the floor before stopping it, and the master cylinder loses fluid. Should be an easy fix once you find the leak. Tires all hold air but are very old. I also still have the wrecked 94 with the same running drivetrain and some aftermarket wheels that can be bought for.extra if interested. These shortbeds are hot and hard to find
