“For a 28-year-old unrestored classic truck it's in great shape. Has lived in California for most of its life, and recently was shipped to Boston about 1 year ago. No rust. Runs well. Extensive recent maintenance and parts, including new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires and ARB steel front bumper. The interior is tidy but does smell vintage-y / musty, and rotors should be replaced at some point.”

Vehicle description

Re-listing this because the winner of the previous auction entered $79,950 as his max bid by mistake apparently. Let"s try this again:
Classic FJ80 Toyota Land Cruiser from 1991. Lived most of its life in California, so it has no rust and is in great shape overall for a 28-year-old truck. Paint is in very good condition. Currently the truck is based in Boston, where I"ve had it for almost a year after shipping it over from California. Clean CarFax and title in hand.
The truck fires right up and runs fine. Transmission is strong with no issues. 4WD works as it should.
Recent maintenance and new parts include: - Brand new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires ($1,000) - ARB steel front bumper ($1,000) - New battery - New WeatherTech floor mats - Power steering system maintenance - New windshield and new sun visors - New water pump - New hood struts, new power antenna mast - Replacement of cracked dash - New electric rearview mirrors - Oil change and oil filter change
Overall the truck is very neat and tidy, with a clean interior. Comes with both the original floor mats as well as a set of n ew WeatherTech floor mats. There is a bit of a musty smell inside though, which the Toyota dealership charitably described as "vintage car smell".
Known issues are mostly cosmetic: There"s some small tears in the front driver"s seat canvas (seems that all old FJ80s have this). Driver"s side rear door has a slight crease and a small dent in the pillar, that was done by a previous owner; hard to see in the photos, and doesn"t affect normal operation of the door. Some small cracks in fender flares; again, hard to see in the photos since they"re small. Finally, the front rotors are a bit warped, so if you slam on the brakes at 60 mph on the highway you"ll feel a vibration. Didn"t bother me enough to replace them, but figured I"d mention it here.
All glass is good and the windshield is new. All windows are working, and so does the sunroof. All lights and gauges are working. Original factory radio seems to still work, as does the A/C, although I haven"t really used either that much. Includes accessory rear tow hitch.
Reason for sale: Reluctantly selling it as my family needs a modern truck (with airbags and Bluetooth and all that nonsense, which this old FJ80 doesn"t have) to go up north in the winter with, so my fun vehicles must go unfortunately.
I can hold the truck while any necessary transportation arrangements are made. PayPal for deposit only.
