Vehicle description
Okay, this is unusual that I have all these positive factors working to offer a vehicle for sale. I just bought this beautiful car at an estate sale in Maryland. Loretta, the original owner bought the car at Colonial Chrsysler/Plymouth/Dodge in Gettysburg PA on 4/7/92. I have the dealer purchase order AND the original window sticker, 30 years old. In 2012 she passed, the car went to her brother John in Smithsburg, MD where it was garaged and driven sparingly until he recently passed, and now I have it. All owner"s manuals are here, the key for the wire hubcaps is here. So that"s the story. On to condition. . I will describe this car so that there will be no surprises, no misunderstandings, this is how I sell a vehicle. The car is Dusty Rose Pearl. The vinyl top is soft, no rips or blemishes. All the glass is in perfect condition, the interior is dry, never smoked in, smells nice, and there is just no wear to the seats. The headliner is not ripped, but it is beginning to sag in a couple of places. I will add two pictures of that when I can. The carpet is gorgeous, no stains or abnormal wear. The dash is not cracked anywhere, all the door panels are perfect. Everything works in this car, including the cassette player! The tires are like new, the oil is clean, the car is quiet, drives straight, shifts perfectly. It is obvious to me that the car was taken care of, driven by older people. It"s awesome. Now I will describe the negatives about its condition: There is a dime sized ding in the trunklid. There is a dime sized ding in the rear passenger door. The car has a few minor scratches, and there is surface rust starting at the bottom of the rear quarter panels behind the rear wheels. I cannot seem to make either key work to open the trunk, but the trunk release button in the glovebox works just fine. I am taking the car tomorrow to my mechanic. There, the car will get new front brakes, he will put the rearview mirror back on the windshield, and he will convert the a/c to R-134A and check the car over. I will have him fix anything else he finds wrong, period. So what you will be buying is a 1991 Chrysler with all working lights, even the trunk light and the light under the hood! Every option works! Everything works or will work as if you were buying it new! That said, the car has been owned and driven for 30 years so it is not perfect, but it"s damn close! The reserve is low, and represents a reasonable profit for me, not stupid money. I am happy to deliver the car to Carlisle, PA for the Chrysler show the weekend of July 9th at no cost to the buyer. Otherwise, shipping is the buyer"s responsibility. Feel free to contact me thru Ebay with any questions, or if you want pictures of anything specific. Thanks, Steve.
