Vehicle description

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider - Rust Free Colorado Car
Hagerty valuation for a car in fair condition is $9,600. This car is better than fair condition - this is a solid deal.
Series 4 - The last version of the classic Alfa Spider. It"s a great rust-free Colorado car that has higher miles and isn"t perfect, but the price is on the lower end of the scale – so you can buy it, and just enjoy it, or upgrade as you go and the values are poised to go up as well, so it should be a good investment.
It is supposed to have an Alfa remanufactured engine, but PO can"t find paperwork, so take that for what it"s worth. The bushings could use replacement, but it"s not as bad as most Spiders I drive, and new bushings are included. 2nd gear will crunch ONLY if you shift quickly when it"s ice cold, but it"s fine if you shift normally when cold and is TOTALLY fine when its warmed up. Honestly, it"s better than most other Alfa"s I"ve driven. There is some clear coat peeling and dings in the paint, but really not bad, especially when you realize there is no rust.
No rust – for an Alfa that"s big, and worth as much as the purchase price in repairs if you buy a rusty one. Also - it has a NEW CANVAS TOP – again, worth a few thousand dollars at least if you price one out with installation.
It needs some minor TLC, but is a great driving car you can do a rolling restoration to if you want. Compared to most Spiders that have rust coming through, and smoke on startup, and need lots of other things - this is a really solid deal.
