1991 Alfa Spyder 55,010 miles, 5 speed, excellent original paint and interior, alloy wheels unmarked by curb rash, runs and drives with zero issues. Owned by the same Alfa enthusiast since 2005 this Rosso beauty has never failed to start and perform as it should. Stored winters in a heated garage it has been carefully maintained and never abused. It was equipped from the factory with power steering and brakes, power windows and mirrors, AC, am/fm cassette stereo with upgraded speakers, power antenna, leather and suede upholstery. Upgrades to the car include Koni shocks front and rear, IAS springs which improve handling and lower the car approx. one inch, and K-40 built in radar. A new clutch and guido were fitted at approx. 48,000 miles. The top and rear window are in excellent condition. The finish shines brilliantly, but in the interest of full disclosure does have minor imperfections, i.e. a few small stone chips, a bit of scraped paint on the lower front spoiler, none of which show up on photos or detract from the overall presentation of the car. Most people who see it cannot believe it is from 1991. There are two things that do not function as intended when the car was new. Though AC equipped from the factory, the system will need servicing to be operational. My mode of use for the car is sunny weather with the top down so I"ve not addressed the issue. The second is the two power windows. They operate but at a slow pace, the driver"s side worse than the passenger. Cleaning and fresh grease are the likely remedy, but I have not had time to disassemble the door cards to work on the problem. Everything else, power mirrors and antenna, stereo, lights, clock work as intended. This Spider handles like it"s on rails and does not require jeopardizing one"s license to enjoy its performance envelope. 28mpg fuel consumption and low insurance rates make it a more affordable alternative than other options offering the same fun quotient. I am selling to provide funds to complete restoration of a 1974 Alfa GTV that I"ve put off finishing far too long. This is not a fire sale. The range of prices on the last generation of Spiders is wide, but as the tried and true saying goes, buying the best one you can find always proves the most economical option.
