I have decided to list this amazing collectible Mercedes for a true no reserve auction as I don’t have enough room to store it properly right now. I have only owned it for a few months, I purchased it from a collector who had an extensive collection of vehicles. Since my ownership, all I have done is restore a few interior trim pieces, sourced a period correct radio (not connected to power just installed currently), and ran the engine frequently to make sure it was healthy. The motor took 3-4 seconds to crank when I took delivery (cold start) but after putting a few miles on the car, it seems that all it needed was to be driven. One benefit is I know a number of specialists who work on and supply parts for these cars. So if you’re looking for something down the line I can help point you in the right direction. The good! -motor seems very healthy, and revs very strongly to redline. I have high hopes for the drivetrains longevity. -the interior is super clean, essentially perfect leather, headliner, trim pieces, instrument cluster. Almost nothing to fix here. -low miles, the 72km (44k) miles is assumed to be original and correct. -sunroof working and leak-free -EVO wheels are in like new condition - awesome manual transmission The bad -rear windows don’t go down. I want to urge that I simply haven’t had the time to diagnose any issues with the car or take it anywhere. Many of these could be simple fixes! -radio is installed but not connected to power -the lap timer was restored by a specialist but actually still appears to have faulty screen. ($60 fix and can refer) -AC currently not working (have not attempted to fix) -Noticed after I put a few more miles on the car a small oil leak began. Have not had it on a lift yet, anticipate it’s not a complicated fix. Just a gasket, etc. -The paint is far from perfect. While it’s acceptable for a driver, I would want the buyer to know that if they want a museum quality vehicle, a respray is in order. The car simply has numerous rock chips on hood, fenders, etc. Only a couple spots of clear coat peel. And in terms of dents, there is a very small one on the trunk - nothing too obvious. -driver seat springs worn and squeak a little. I actually know where to buy oem 16v seat springs if want to go that route to restore that seat. The suspension is original. My plan was to upgrade to coilovers to make the ride firmer and sportier. I can point you to where you can purchase custom suspension, brake kits, etc for these cars if want to take it to the next level. Comes with a clean Texas title. Regarding shipping, I can help set up shipping for you anywhere in the United States using UShip if you don’t have experience with this process yet. It’s easy and painless.
