Vehicle description
THANKS FOR LOOKING AT MY AUCTION. PLEASE READ ALL OF IT AND BID ONLY IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING THIS VEHICLE. I AM PROVIDING A LOT OF INFORMATION. PLEASE READ IT. ONLY PAYPAL PAYMENTS ACCEPTED. PAYMENT WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER AUCTION ENDED. (I added some more pictures of things people may want to see)
I am auctioning my white 1990 Ford mustang GT-Cobra convertible. The car has been garaged all of its life. It has never been repainted, touched up or been in any accidents. Paint looks great with some small imperfections/ road chips in the front part of the hood and the back (I attached pictures), but paint is great overall and shiny. The car has never been driven in snow or bad weather. Interior is immaculate. Tape player works as well. The mustang drives as it should. Transmission is Automatic AOD and as expected normal operation for these models, the transmission shifting is firm. I have the original wheels in great shape with new tires in case the buyer prefers to exchange them and get the original look. (only one wheel/tire set goes with the car).
This is a Canadian GT Cobra model which happens to be somewhat controversial due to the fact that Ford did not make Cobras in the U.S. in 1990 due to legal issues. Well. Canadians had a Cobra label. There are articles and other literature available about this topic. The car has approximately 69,000 miles. The odometer reads in Kilometers and has 111,800 Km on it.
I have owned this car for three years now and I am the second owner. This car is mostly original with a great maintenance record. All repairs have been documented.
The car has never been in an accident. Interior is excellent and everything work as expected. Even the door pockets and ashtray are perfect. Car also has some quality upgrades. I installed Eibach springs and Koni shocks all around plus a set of ROH 17” wheels with Summitomo tires which gives the car an awesome look. These wheels are really hard to get. I have maintenance records to provide to the buyer
The upgrades (I have invoices for all of these)
1. Complete Eibach lowering suspension springs. 2. Front and rear Koni shocks. 3. Flowmaster Force 2 Cat-back. 4. A/C compressor/accumulator/lines and safety switch retrofit to R134. 5. Bigger AMP alternator and pigtail.
OEM maintenance.
1. New radiator (2015). 2. New door pockets (invoice) 3. Complete tune-up wires, cables, spark plugs, air and fuel filter (all OEM Motorcraft) (2015). 4. NEW AOD Transmission and torque converter was replaced in 2012 after the plastic throttle cable bushing broke and damaged the original. 5. All window bushings have been replaced including rear window regulator aluminum bushings. All window motors work. (Invoice) 6. New OEM fuel pump (2011) (I have the invoice for the repair done at lincoln/ford dealership of Venice FL.) 7. New rear brake shoes and drums.
(The Bad)
1. Top is newer but has a tiny hole on the left side. (see attached pictures). You must know that in the rain, water drops get inside thought the front corners of the top. 2. The passenger side tail light has a hairline crack in it (see attached picture) 3. Trunk lid has a very small chip/dent from closing it with something too high inside the trunk (see picture attached).
I am trying to describe the car as best as I can and I am able to document. The car is not perfect but almost. It"s a good example of a well preserved/garaged vehicle. Please contact me if you have any questions or want pictures of any particular area. The car is being sold AS IS. It has no warranty of any kind. The buyer is responsible for arranging transportation. Keep in mind that I can only keep the car for a few days after sold since I need my garage (main reason for selling it) Thanks so much.
