1990 Dodge D250 4 Wheel Drive. 5.9 liter Cummins Diesel with 5 speed manual transmission. Odometer currently shows 129,565, but speedometer broke in the recent past, so it is higher than that; by how much I am not sure. I purchased it from an estate and the executor was unaware that the speedometer was broken. Owner was an older gentleman that recently passed away. He did not drive the truck very far or very often. The truck is not perfect, but is priced accordingly. The basics are solid. The early 5.9 liter 12 valve engines are known for the reliability and longevity.
The engine starts up with the bump of the key, the clutch is solid and the transmission is smooth. It runs and drives well. The body is quite straight; minor rust visible, see photos. Tailgate is missing; I have found several on line in the $100 range. A/C pump needs replaced. It has a half-cab sleeper and I have the original back window in good condition. The top and sides were repainted as most trucks from this era had peeling paint issues. The newer paint is a different shade of red.
The power steering is stiff; not sure if it is the pump or the gear. It needs a hood release cable; the current one is sticking out through the grille, making it easy to open from outside, the handle inside is broken. The power windows work; the power locks unlock, but have trouble locking. There are a few other minor issues; I wanted to be as detailed in my description as I could. Overall, a solid truck that runs and drives well and doesn"t have a ton of miles. Body is solid. Seat has a cover; it is just the driver"s side cloth that has tears; most of the padding is still in good shape. All glass is good. Passenger side door molding needs to be reattached.
